FPS similarity

What first person shooter do you think planet side will be like? I need something new to play hopefully something that is similar to planet side so I'm not the crapiest person out on the field

the whole point of planetside is that its not like any other game out there. The closest comparison you could make is to Tribes or Tribes 2, but even those are only because of the large outdoor maps and squad-based combat.

Ive been told its sort of like halo, but i wouldnt know for sure, halo is fun anyway tho...

I'd say C&C Renegade or Tribes 2, just bigger and better.

We actualled talked about this in my audio interview heh, I dont like comparisions. But if I was to compare it to somthing it would be C&C Renegade

I think that comparing games like this only belittles all the games involved. Each game out there deserves it's own props for the work that went into it. So long as the game developers out there continue to build and evolve games off each others successes, all is golden for the gaming community.

id go with T2.. mostly because of the large landscapes and the team oriented work.. but PS wont be a CTF game :D

More like a T2 king of the hill encounter, with Deus Ex aiming.

It's becoming increasingly harder to compare PS with other games. Perhaps we should stop. ;)

I would hope its a mix of Halo, and Tribes games. More like Halo though, even though its a console game, the look of PLanetside reminds me of it.
