I just have an idea just to place ALL Heavy assult weapons within the area of effectiveness of 10 meters. That way no one can engage anyone else within 10 meters with either lasher, Jackhammer, and Mini-chaingun.

So there would technically be no advantage to anyone else when fighting.

yeah but then we would have another jackhammer owning everything then every one would be bitching including me.

Actually the regular jackhammer would pry own. the lasher would be second. and the mini-chaingun would be 3rd.

I guess my only request is that morons with MCGs stop shooting my tanks. You're not doing anything to me at all other than making me bother to turn my turret far enough to kill you :p

Don't worry, I use decimators ;)

As of right now the gay pride parade is dominant with their blue disco balls of death...

Translation: 'I can't dodge slow-ass Lasher fire for shit.'

No, I can't dodge the 1/4 of the zerg shooting at me at once with it. The gay pride parade = vanu zerg.

I think it's important to remember that this game uses Client-Side Hit Detection, and that though you may dodge like Neo on your side, the guy who is shooting at you may be hitting on his side (due to lag perhaps). It sounds preposterous, but you can actually successfully dodge and still get hit (MagRider anyone?).

The easy answer to all these balance problems is to dispense empire-specific weaponry from hacked equipment terminals (an idea that has come up many times). This would allow the flavor of each empire to remain intact, while letting every player have adequate access to whatever weapon may be in vogue. This should go for vehicles and MAX suits as well. Access to every weapon/MAX/vehicle in the game would be the equivalent of new content for most players with (presumably) minimal effort on behalf of the devs.
