Vanu skeleton on Oshur?

This is a quote in the description of Oshur on the PSU website.

This extremely rough desert continent consists of the broken bones of an impact crater. I can't say I've seen this skeleton. Anyone know which facility this thing is near? I'd like to check it out.

it's not actually a skeleton per se. it's more like a series of ditches that kinda look like a bird under the right light, viewed from above, through rose colored glasses under a full moon.

This is OFN. But, I think it's on Ishundar, the North eastern side. It's pretty big. Go into your map and zoom in on it.

Yea you might get pissed when he stomps on you, but then you'd laugh when you watch him pick up a Max Pounder and throw him across the continent.

if they do put in real vanu they could put in a suit like the infl suit no armor 1 pistol same inventory, but it looks like 1 of the vanus. it would cost 6 cert points and u could only get at regular eq terms. everytime a vanu came it wont attack u. thats all it would do it wouldnt let u call a vanu or anything just keep u from geting killed

I think it should be like it is now, but with Vanu alien creatures that n oone can control, but randomly join in battles, that would be kick ass

:EDIT: I can imagin fighting some VS, then out of nowhere comes this huge Vanu creature killing everyone, it can be killed, but it has a shit load of armor, that would be awsome cuz everyone would be fighting it, not against each other, well to tell yo thruth, while every1's killing the creature i sneak up behind them and shoot them in the back :)

yeah a horde of NPCs would be really cool. It might actually give some purpose to the multitude of fortifications that are all over continents

it would be cool if it just walked around shooting laser beams and crap, stomping on tanks and throwing them. Vanu would cry that their magmower doesnt... well it probably would kill him, strafe over his foot and he explodes and the continent is gone for 24 hours.

You ever heard of the Edit button? Find it. Anyway, it would be really cool if the Devs had a suprise for us. Likie if we ever get an expansion (wich we probably will next year) they should put in the Vanu race. Imagine taking a base, fighting a MAX, your getting ready to die. SWOOSH! A gaint bird-like creature takes him away. Then all kinds of little purple zerglings come pouring out of the warp gates. Their new home continent would be Searhus since it's nobody's "back yard".

I honestly don't think that would ever happen. Simply because there's been no infantry AI programmed into PlanetSide. And as you can probably guess, AI programming is pricey. Very pricey. Infact that's one of the reasons Perfect Dark did so well. While using previously-used graphics and physics engines from Goldeneye, Perfect Dark devs were able to direct a large amount of development into the AI of the sims. Hence why a Dark Sim will beat the piss out of 90% of all players.

If there is ever going to be some Vanu godzilla in this game, its not going to be AI controlled at all, its going to be a pissed of dev whos tired of people bitching, so he kills everyone.

"Oh the Lasher isnt balanced is it? I SPENT 240 HOURS BALANCING IT MYSELF!!! NERF THIS!!! GRAH!"

At which point he would commence stomping everyone and everything whilst laughing and shooting lasers from his eyes...

Besides the reason they didnt put AI in becuase it would slow down the fighting. It would just slow down the ping and then the people who play this game like 20 hours a day would soon learn the exact moves of it and be able 2 stay out of its way. even if the put a randomiser on it they would have 2 program moves and then the will figure out the first move 2 every sequence. plus it wouldnt help much becuse 1: it couldnt get 2 u inside a base unless it tore open the top of the base but then it would only be the people on the top and 2: if it did just tear off the top how wolud the base repair. they would have 2 put in a stupid class that had like a gun that spitted cement and a gun that spitted cement plockes just 2 repari the base. but if they did that it would opwn a new possabillty for the maxes.

I know it wouldn't work, it's just a fun creative idea. The Devs would get some Barney suits and make them selfes invinceble if they want to bring back the Vanu.
