Problem started shortly after my Power Supply went Tango Uniform.

Went to replace the Power Supply and now I boot up, computer does the POST test, checks my IDE connections, then hangs for a couple of minutes at that screen. Screen blanks out and all I get is a flashing cursor in the upper right hand corner of the screen with no keyboard support (Can't type or CTRL-ALT-DEL out of it). Any idea's what is the cause? I'm fresh out of them. Help appreciated and will be reciprocated.

Maybe when the PSU went pop it took out some hardware (most likely damaged the mobo/cpu etc.)?

maybe the IDE channels or HDD's are knackered, only way to check is systematically remove and try the components in a nother machine

I'm going to be bringing in my machine to work tomorrow and work on it after Mojo's Shoutcast. I've gotten a couple of idea's from talking and posting places and I've got a sneaky suspicion it may be either the video card itself or something on the board. I'm hoping that it's the card. I'll be able to get a nice Radeon then.

Well, after 13 hours of troubleshooting it came down to the Hard Drive. I guess when the P/S smoked it caused a surge of current to blow through to the Hard Drive.

Got a new hard drive and will install it tonight, hopefully be back up and running by tomorrow and ready for DW Ops Tuesday night. :)

WTF am I gonna do with 160GB of storage? If anyone wants a good deal on a hard drive, CompUSA is selling a WD 160GB Hard drive with Free UltraATA controller card for 169.00. Add to that the $70 Mail in rebate and you've got a 160GB hard drive for $100, the cost of most 80GB Drives in stores now.
