Ok i have been thinkin about this yah i think sanct strikes will be fun and u can have lots of pride if ur empire does it but think about the actuall fighting... Ok u got bunch of towers (wow u can get that anywhere in the world) Then u actually got the villas... Can u imagin fightin in a 1 story spawn room woohoo or the hart fac. I dont know its just my opinion. i do think they should add them though because its something new and something to fight for .. but the actuall fightin is ganna be no better if not worse then normal fighting

Yeah I've never understood why people thought sanc strikes would make a big difference. Sure it's a goal, but it's a goal to get basically the exact same thing you've been doing.

Sanc strikes never made any sense to me, I really don't think they'll put them in. It's not much of a reward for the winning empire as much as it is a kick in the gut for the losing empire.

I mean think about it. The losing empire just gets their ass kicked on their home continents and then you're gonna allow them to get their ass kicked in the Sanc too? Talk about kicking a person when they are down.

Got to agree with you on this one. Sanctuarys as they are now are very boring and sterile. They really need to dress things up a bit before they try introducing Sanctuary Strikes. Each villa needs to be expanded so that they represent small cities or something. Taking over the HART terminal and spawn tubes are about all the objectives we have now.

I'd rather see them address base defense or it's lack there of, before they try something like Santuary Strikes. Bases need to be a lot harder to crack than they are now. Who ever designed them obviously didn't know jack about defensive structures. They don't need to be Super Bunkers, just better planned and Defense friendly. I could have given them a class for free.;)

I tend to think Sanctuary Strikes won't be implemented any time soon. Maybe a year from now or longer.

Heh, if there was ever a sanctuary strike at the NC sanctuary, I would hide in VR training until it was over. Unless of course you could fight the enemy in VR, Real Adventures of Johnny Quest style (HELL YEAH! QUEST WORLD BABY!)...

...either that or its just gonna be a series of boring tower battles :p

lol. yea sanc strikes would definately spice up the game a bit. I would love it if I was the attacker or defender. That would be so cool walking out of the spawn room and seeing a fleet of galaxies overhead. But they should only have to lock down 1 sanc-linked continent to do it. Its impossible to lock down 3 sanc-linked continents. OMG!!! SANC STRIKES!!! WOO!!! it would be like Pearl Harbor but only with Magriders mowing people down.

i think if they do i think they will make people stride for it becuse u could get a wg 2 thier own empire on it and the abbilty 2 purchese the other empires empire specifc gear and vechicals and maxes. imange a vs max blue and yellowlol

yea that would be cool...although it would look quite strange...but seriously, have you ever fought off the TR AND locked them out of forseral? theres just waves and waves of them, so 3 continents is impossible, 1 continent is a distant dream....some day....

But if you pushed them out of the Sanc. Ware would they spawn? no one on that faction could spawn again. you would be completley eliminateing them from the game.
And i dont think that if you had the max from one empire you could just grab the max of the oposeing empire and still know how to work it.

no, you could still spawn in teh normal areas...the doors to that room should be locked from any enemy contact...

All u people thinkin the sanct strike will be fun .. are dumb .. heh the only way sanct strikes will ever be fun is if like some1 said above Spiced up the sancts a little bit maybe add some cities and stuff... If they did that i would strive so hard to do it just because i would love some urban warfare in this game

I think that sanc strikes are a bad idea. I agree that it is EXACTLY like kicking when there down. I know i would at least one place i can go ithout getting thrown out of. :-P

And NC doesnt suck!

Personally, if i logged in to the sanc and couldnt even get out of the Re-Spawn building i would log off.

Of course, if they even added sanc strikes to work like that i would just cancel my account. :love:

what i meant by that once u had the max aromor all u could use is the wepons seystem and thats it. after like 20 hours of using it u would get the hang of it and be able 2 use its speaicle ability.that is the only way sanc strikes would be fun. i dont think that u should lock down all 2 though. u can get 1. i was on amarish at like 7:30 and there was no 1 there. we sent the vs /tells just so we could have a challnge. there would be times when u could get 1 cont, but 2 get all 3 u wolud hve 2 have every one on the empire on at the same time, split it in 2 3 groups and then have each all of those 3 groups split in to multiple platoons. plus i think there wolud be time limt on how long u could hold a sanc or the loosing empire would get a specail wepon only 2 be used on the captured sanc. it could have like 75 atacke and look and act like the chaingun but with a never increasing cof. and so no 1 would complaine IT WOULD CE COMMON POOL. so dont even start on how people would be complaing

How would sanc strikes be cool? It would be like camping a spawn room but even more boring. How anyone could even conceive this as fun is beyond me.

On a side note, we need the old sanctuary back, before the villas, it's not like there are enough people playing to warrent the villa style sanc anyway. And the times I would spend in the beta sanctuary were the only times I felt the game was truely epic to the scale SOE wishes it was.

some 1 said earlery that the spawn rooms would probally be unable 2 get in 2. i have 2 ammit unlees they put the ideas i suggested earlier and some of the good ideas like some people sugested it might be fun. besises they are really thinking about it and will be in the expansion if they do put it in. what i hate more is the ntu silos on the towers ::(:

But it doesn't matter if the spawn room is locked. People would inevidibly standing just outside the doors of the spawn room.

they have to leave eventually. plus, with teh ENTIRE, say, NC force locked in the spawn rooms, how long could it be until they breakthrough? sanc strikes will be fun, for either side. no NTUs, no Respawn timers, ahhh, that would be great. BEsides, no one can organize for the ENIRE VS or TR force to invade a sanc, maybe 2,000 troops, max.

You're missing the problem... doors open... and bam, every weapon with splash damage will be spammed into that room. Not to mention the a whole faction stuck in what is it 6 spawn rooms? isn't going to be too fun for the guys who are in them. You think it's fun but what is so unique about it that will make it any better than combat on one of the continents? It's the same shit, different location, that's all.

I would have a problem with allowing sanctuary strikes. Why, you might ask? Well, I cannot devote a lot of time to PlanetSide because of a lovely thing called WORK. Luckily, I do not have the added responsibilities of a family (although my mother and father certainly act like 2 year olds at times). Also, Sony would never do this because they want more subscribers, not have people canceling in droves. Let me paint you a picture.

Joe works hard all day. He bought PlanetSide and is paying the monthly fee. He occasionally gets a chance to play it and has brought his character up to BR11. During this time he has developed some friends on line in the same empire, let�s say the NC. One day, Joe gets to leave work on time (a novel concept considering the current economic situation). He goes home, has dinner, and spends time with the kids. About 9PM he has put the kids to sleep and the wife goes to watch TV. Joe decides that he has enough time to make a real effort to get his character to BR12. He signs on, spawns into sanctuary, and is immediately killed by 8 TR Pounder MAXs (in or out of the spawn room). He tries a couple dozen more times, but is killed before being able to do anything. He decides to quite for the night before he gets too POed.

Next day at work, Joe stews a little about what happened. He makes an effort to leave work on time again, actually leaving some stuff to get done the next day. Again he signs on, spawns at sanctuary, but this time is killed by 12 VS MAXs. He immediately signs off and searches out his buddies on-line. They all had the same problem. They all decide to try and sign on at the same time and try to kill a selected MAX. After 4 spawns, they think that they have one or two ready to drop. Just before clicking to respawn, Joe notices that a couple of guys are running around repairing the MAXs armor. Joe and his buddies decide to play another game on line and HAVE FUN.

Joe promptly cancels his subscription the next day.

Could this happen? Yes! Don�t believe me, then check all the world servers and see which ones have consistent underdogs.

If you are bored with the game, sign onto one of the other servers and set up a new character on the underdog empire. I think you will change your mind. Don't call for sanctuary strikes.
