Everyone post what sports you play/possition you play (if applicable) and feel free to chat it up about it. (Just kinda curious)

I play football, center and noseguard (yeah, the big guy positions) and man am I tired. Practice is a bitch, but kinda fun.

In 7th grade I played middle linebacker and 8th grade I played center but now I'm a sophmore and play nothing. You see in middle school I lived in idiana, nothern indiana and it was about 80 in the summer. Then I move to las vegas and its 120+!!!! So I don't play football anymore.

Its no cooler in Houston, Texas. Imagine las vegas, now add 100% humidity. Its like trying to breath through a wet towel.

Yeah but I'm guessing you've lived there for a while. I've only lived here a year and haven't gotten used to it.

WTF???

seriously guys!

one) its called FOOTBALL - you kick the goddamn ball. Your [american] football should be called 'Hand but occaisionally foot' ball.

two) those positions are not the right names. Theres the goalkeeper, there is the left, right and centre back, theres the left, right and centre midfield, theres the right, left and centre forwards, theres sweepers which go just behind the defence [just one person], there are wingers which play just6 in front of the left and right mid's.

obviously these people don't ALL play at the same time, but trust me, i know what i'm talking about. I come from england, we MADE the damn sport.

oh, and i play centre back.

and in rugby i play Prop.

Their names for their positions were correct. Were are in America and those terms are correct in America. In fact, most international student soccer players I have met use the same terminology that we use.

Midfield and fullback are correct terms for soccer positions.

BTW, if you play center fullback, but your team plays with a sweeper, and you are not the sweeper, we would call your position the stopper.

BTW American football > soccer as far as following the sport or watching the games.

As far as rugby, I have no clue how you play that game.

I live in Maine and its always cold! In fact this summer has been complete shit. 70% of the time it was raining! all that ran though will eventually start coming down as snow. That is what leads me to my sport. Alpine Skiing! Its an insane rush and I love it. The two mountians I normally ski on Sugarloaf and Sunday River get snow from November-May so I go skiing easily 40 times a season + week day practices after school. Very few sports are as dangerous or tiring. You complain about heat! well remeber me when I'm in my fucking leotard speed suit thing (VERY GAY AND ASS/NUT HUGGING) on a huge ass mountian AT NIGHT and its easily 0 degree's! Then you have to go through a course that is pretty much all ice by the time its your turn going so fast that if you fall that entire side of your body that hits is bruised for weeks! not to mention it kills your race time/ gets you DQed.

Then when spring finally comes I play tennis I took it up 2 years ago and now as a freshmen I was one spot away from making Varsity. Now as a sophmore I'm guessing I'll easily make it cuz we're loosing 5 Varsity players.
