Eh. I'm a MAX Infantry character, however, I've been thinking about ditching the MAX and going for a normal assault troop with Heavy Assault. So I'd like to know...does it cost 9 goddamn cert points to get the Heavy Assault? Because Medium Assault is 2, Special is 3 and Heavy itself is 4. Or can you just buy Heavy Assault without having to have the others?
Danke.

You have to have medium assault to have Haevy and special. So if you want heavy it basically cost 6, medium and Heavy.

if you're gonna take heavy assault, you should grab reinforced and special assault too ;D

Chaingun and decis absolutely rule. When I had that combo I completly owned, but the total of 12 cert points spent on MA, SA, HA, and RA was really bringing me down. Now I have Hacking/adv hacking/engy/ce/RA/SA/MA/Burster MAX uhh I think thats it, sometimes I forget stuff. The Hack/ADV hack/ Engy/ Combat Engy combo is also very good. Of course I have no room for anything like med kits, the aces and decis take up that space, not to mention ammo for the cycler, and the BANK and nano dispenser....lol
Finally got BR17, bout time too

Gestap: He probably made a typo and ment to say RE, which is Reinforced Exosuit.
For the sake of greifing, I'll just get heavy assault AND the Pounder. If it's a base absolutely packed with enemies, I'll hop into my MAX and kick some ass, and if I have some backup down there and just need extra assault troops, I'll just run in with a Reaver or HA.
As for the Reinforced Exosuit, nah. I only really need ONE armor type (Pounder, and Agile doesn't count since it is obvious).
Off-topic question: Do you get any "starter" cert points when you begin a new character?
