I think it'll be good, hopefully it will, but giving all three empires high tech vanu weapons is wrong. Those should be Vs and the othe rempires should get there own, maybe useing vanu tech but not as high tech. Well I don't want to make another one of these discussions on the weapons for the expansion, already talked about it. Hopefully it will be good.

Believe me, the new vehicles and weapons are going to be so far removed in fuction from the Vanu gear you will probably never make an association between them.

how do you know that?

Hey you might be right about that, the weapons are probably actual vanu weapons used by the vanu instead of the VS weapons which where probably made by humans useing both human and vanu technology. So yeah I gusse they could be common pool since they're probably vanu weapons. Same goes with other aspects about the game. The only problem is that if the VS can't get the magrider to work right (says it has limited hovering ability due to they couldn't get the process entirly right) then how are these weapons being by all 3 empires? If the vanu can't get making they're stuff like total vanu then how are the NC and TR going to do this? Do they recreat the weapons or do they find them underground in a huge stockpile the vanu left behind? And I also heard you can only get these weapons underground. Oh well I'm thinking to much about the story line, lol tis game pretty much has no story line, still very good though.

It sounds to me like they've located the original technology undergound. All an Empire has to do is bring it up to the surface. Finally, you VS bastages will know just how annoying it is to be smashed into the ground! Bwhahaha!

They should have had the VS discover these Vanu weapons, the terran Republic reinvents the weapons of earth, like the M60 and other assorted assault rifles. And the NC should have created some new high tech shotgun-style weapons. Now for the first month we'll seee nothing but energy weapons instead of good'ol fashion lead.

The weapons they've mentioned thus far seem pretty situational. I wouldn't worry too much of the game turning into a Star Trek spin-off.

All PlanetSide really needs REAL bad is, more optimizations (A LOT MORE) and, more players.
I think it is gonna rock, I can't wait for it to come out.

I just have one idea, and it has nothing to do with PS:CC.
Instead of searhus being the only cont without a Sanc link, make it the only one with ALL sanc links. A TR sanc link, A NC sanc link, and a VS sanc link.
That would pwn...........oh and so will PS:CC

that would make the game way to crouded and not so fun to play.

Open your mind, reread the descriptions and realize that this new equipment will be nothing like energy-bullet style Vanu firearms.
As for the game turning into Star Trek, it has been mensioned that one will be unable to go to your local equipment terminal and buy ancient weapons. Instead, you have to go into the caverns to retrieve these weapons. While I'm sure that a great deal of battle will take place in the caverns during the initial release, very few will go into the caves for the sole purpose of getting these exotic weapons. People will bring them up to the surface eventually, but this limited number of initial users will result in an even lower number of salvagable Ancient weapons for surface goers.

I'm sure the weapons will regenerate if that is in fact the method the Devs go with, and it certainly sounds that way. I was thinking about the ammo for these weapons. Of course, it'll probably be some sort of energy clip like the VS weapons, but remember that the Vanu Sovereignty invented their weapons using a hybrid of both human and alien technology. So I'm thinking the ammo boxs will still have the little lightning bolt on them, but they'll probably be orange or red or something so the Vanu players won't have too much of an upper hand when it comes to inventory space and loadouts.
About a 1-jump continent for all Empires, I think this is a great idea and have seen many discussions about it since the early stages of beta. The closest thing I've seen to this is when Cyssor had both an NC and TR link back in beta. Those were the days. Hopefully, we'll one day see something like this come into play.

Its gonna be somewhat good but they could of fixed all the bugs and finished the lodestar/platoons before they announced the expansion. And they should of added ships instead of more ground based fightning.
