Upgrading from 7 day trial

Sorry if this question sounds dumb (cuz it kinda is) but it won't let me ask this over on the official forums as I'm not a PS Subscriber.

This is the last night of my free trial and I wanna keep playing, my question is: Do I have to go buy a copy from the store now or can I just purchase a "planetside account key" over the net and enter it in the edit sunscription menu?

Do I lose my current char if I have to buy from the store or we he still be active if I use the same login?

Unfortunately, you have to purchase the game itself. The same issue came up after Beta when many of us had the game on our systems and it would have made a lot of sense for SOE to hand out the CD Keys for a fee rather than wasting the money printing up the games. Unfortunately, just purchasing the CD Key is not an option.
As long as you use the same login/password all of your character stats will remain so no worries there.

Yeah I ducked out after beta because of cash flow issues heh, well it makes sense for me to just enter my CC details and have done but fair enough, I'll pick up a copy during my lunch break tomorrow.

I purchased a copy of PS from Ebay and had the place email me the key. I reactivated my account later that evening. Since the purchase price of the auction included shipping...he also emailed me the game, which came less than a week later.

Cost me about $20 total...yes it was a brand new unopened box.

Well I may have to do this too, I tried in 5 seperate stores today and not one of them had PS in stock :ugh:

Not even GAME had it, even though it's right there on their website!

I have upgraded from the seven day trial to the full game,but the biggest mistake which i made was buying the game from games station second hand,only to go home install the game and input the cd code which is plastered were every 1 can see it.only to tell me that the code is already in use,so here is some advice"DONT BUY A SECOND HAND COPY OF PLANETSIDE"
