Ok, I know its a shotgun, but come on! 2 shots in Reinforced! Thats not right, + the range isnt that bad at all! It does moderate damage at 20m. If it isnt all powerful, then why do 8/10 NC have the damn thing?!!

It's actually 3 shots in reinforced, not 2. I thought it was out of balance before they buffed the Lasher and the MCG, now I think it's in line nicely.

well 8/10 NC have it for 3 reasons...

1. TR cycler is better then the Guass..
2. all TR Noobs have the MCG 100 bullets to a Mag..
3. we got almost every Vanu with a Lasher.. cause kicks mad ass... (and we know them barneys are loving it..)

bascialy in my opinion our weapons suck.. so JH is all we got. that and the Phoenix.. but dev nerfed the shit out of that too..
and still if you dont combine the JH with surge implant..
the lasher and MCG will rip you in close quarters..

Kind of have to agree with ThEOnLyOnE. The JH use to be way over powered. Then it was brought in line with the other HA. The MCG can fire a lot longer with the bigger clip size. I have reloaded three times with a gause trying to take a MCGer down before. We were both running around dodging each other and shooting. He never reload once. He got me though cause I had to pause in firing to reload. That was three clips.

The Bolt Driver takes 2 hits to kill a reinforced. I shoot a reinforced with the pheonix, okay Anti-vehicular; but still a missle, it takes three missles. Same for a max. I have put 10 av pheonix into a AMS before and it was still sitting there. 4 for a reavor. I get three strikers in my reavor and I'm down and out. Not just lost control of vehicle crashing. BLAMMM dead in the air.

Also the pheonix is a single fire. The striker is 3 rounds per clip. The lancer, VS I think. I haven't had the chance to use one, but have seen them fired and I think they fire 3 rounds also.

Don't get me wrong I like the on board camera for the pheonix. Is lot harder to hit things when they are uder your personnel control than the ai of the pc. Also you are locked down into one spot and can't move after you fire. I have died multiple times because I don't know what is going on with my body. VS and TR can run and gun. Okay sorry Pheonix rant over here.

Lancer is actually six to a clip I think...I dunno. It's been awhile since I've messed around with it.

You said 4 phoenixes to kill a reaver....and three to kill with a striker... but phoenix does more damage then a striker, and I'm a reaver pilot also, and I've taken alot more then 3 striker missles. You might of been hurt earier or with all of those missle locks someone fired a decimator in there. Also don't shoot a infuntry with a phoenix, takes four shoots doing 25 damage to both armor and health. Maybe would be good to shoot them long distance but up close don't use it. This one guy tried killing me with one and he missed me awhole lot, and when he did hit me it only did 25 health damage and 25 armor. And I have 2 medkits:D . So I ended up killing the guy with a beamer (took forever and I only had that and a glue gun to repair vechicles with). And all three empires I think are good, since i also play all three, see sig.

I think that it's 5 Strikers to down a Reaver, but I'm not sure on that. I know for a fact that 3 won't do it if it's fully healthy.

8/10 NC?
I play NC, so I see a lot of NCs, and not even 25% of them carry a Jackhammer. And the VS players have little room to talk about heavy assault weapons surabondance.

Let me guess: You're one of those players who went to VS when they beefed up the Lasher, and now you whine about the others HA because the Lasher isn't anymore a magic toy against everything :rolleyes:

I personally hate using the Jackhammer. I dunno why but I just despise using it. So I stick to the gauss or punisher when I'm grunting. I love the accuracy on the gauss.

According to the latest stats from Thottbot (http://www.thottbot.com/planetside/2003-08-17/), the percentage of people certed in HA:

All BR:
TR: 21.0% (+0.8% in the past week)
NC: 30.3% (+1.7% in the past week)
VS: 36.7% (-3.1% in the past week)

BR10+
TR: 28.5% (+0.2% in the past week)
NC: 41.3% (+0.4% in the past week)
VS: 48.4% (-4.9% in the past week)

So more VS are certing in lasher than NC are in JH. However, the numbers are starting to even out.

I think people feel that every NC has a JH because those are always the most annoyingly memorable deaths. You're standing there blasting a guy with a pulsar and he turns and wastes you in 2 shots.

I've finally certed in HA (been playing before the lasher buff'n'nerf) and the lasher does exactly what I want: kills stuff nearby fast. If I need to shoot something more than 50m away, I'll take a pulsar.

Most of the times when you unload a full clip into somone and then turn around and still kill you is when they are lagging. I've had times when I do the same thing to a Lasher user and he still kills me. It happens, deal with it, this isn't a real war, its a computer game.
