ATV cert 2 points

One of the changes in the upcomming patch, guess enough people whined about the 3 points and the devs listened....


Some other changes:


There will be a patch on August 21, 2003 at 3 AM Pacific Time. It will include the following items:
1. The Lattice Logic Unit now appears on the overhead map - even when carried.
2. The LLU will only spawn in one location per base rather than one of several random points. These locations are listed in the online manual.
3. Fixed a bug preventing landing pads at Interlink Facilities from detecting collisions. Aircraft can land on them again.
4. Users will not be kicked from vehicles upon changing access permissions.
5. The ATV certification is now 2 cert points
6. Hover vehicles no longer take damage while traveling over uneven terrain.
7. New audio sounds associated with LLU.
8. Fixed several zone and server crashes.
9. Grammar corrections in various in-game dialogs.

I was thinking they might change it back or at least change it to two certs. I'm glad they did, I might just pick it up again. That way if one ATV blows up before the 5 min timer is up I can get the other one.

Oh and hover vechicles not taking damage from uneven terrain, now that is a good fix. I doesn't affect me that greatly but it does get annoying when driving my magrider and I have to repair it when traveling through mountainous areas.

I think the reason it was downgraded to 2 certification points is both of the ATVs are largely useless. The Lightning is normally always better than the Basilisk, and ANYTHING is better than the Wraith; for Christ's sake, it can be seen plain as day even when "cloaked" and explodes whenever it even SEES uneven terrain.

I still say the ATV's should be 1 cert each...
