i decided not to buy the nf7-s cause i have no need for serial-ata or firewire. i was strapped for cash and needed to cut anything i could. the nForce2 chip is great. I have a 2600+, 1gb ddr333, 120gb 7200rpm maxtor hd, and a radeon 9600pro.

I have a NF7-S ver 2.0 right now waiting to be shipped back for RMA. (MAKE SURE TO KEEP YOUR RECIEPT) I got lazy and used their winflash utility to update the bios from windows. I use to use the one from Asus all the time to update and even used the Abit one once before. But for some reason this time to killed it.

So I went and got a DFI Lanparty NFII heh, its a nice MB also. UV reactive and comes with colored rounded cables, pc tote, front break out panel, etc. But pricey. It seems to OC as well as the Abit did, but I haven't pushed it to hard yet.

The Abit is an excellent OC'er. I like running most of my chips at 10x200 or 11x200 for most barton's, this gives you pretty much a xp3200 performance.

I also put a raptor in, and couldn't see any real speed difference compared to the WD80 7200 I have. I'll pick up another one soon and do like a 16k cluster SATA raid0 and sure it'll help, but if your not gonna get 2 don't waste your time. Maxtor has a new 200gig SATA that looks like a monster, much better than their smaller SATA drives. Haven't tried the new WD250 gig SATA yet though.
