I know someone mentioned it before, but is anyone else interested in a PSU Fantasy Football league? I'm willing to pony up the $$ for a 3 month gamecard for the league winner if anyone wants to run it.

Maybe 2nd place gets a pimptacular PSU hat for their domes.

Most people here are interested in these things you call "sports".

Yeah my buds and I do this every year. I don't know if I can spare enough money for both :(

Nah, this won't cost any money. We'll do one of those cheesy free ones, probably CBS.Sportsline.com or Yahoo.com fantasy leagues.

Fantasy football makes you the GM of a fictional team, but made up of real players. Each week your "Team" goes up against another "team". Based off of your players real-game stats gives you points that determines who "wins".

If no one wants to volunteer to run it, I will. I've never run one before, so bear that in mind. I'll probably keep it simple to allow people who aren't familiar with Fantasy Football to give this a shot. I'll need to set this up within the next couple of days if we want to start right away. Seeing as how I'm right in the middle of moving I'd rather have someone else run the show.

Yahoo.com has free league setups. Just click the fantasy football link at their homepage.

Play PSU Fantasy Football here (http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/f1)

Password for league = hammais1337

Only suck ass thing is that you have to be a yahoo member, which is free to sign up. You can sign up for Yahoo here. (http://login.yahoo.com/config/login?.src=spt&partner=&.v=&.u=&.intl=us&.done=http%3a//football.fantasysports.yahoo.com) Once I have 8 to 10 teams signed up I'll make it active. You can then select how you want to draft. Any suggestions are helpful.

I'm in, but I don't want a gamecard if I win. I hate planetside.

Sorry for the late response. I've been moving into my new house and didn't have time to answer. I just got my PC up and running. Any questions, just e-mail or catch me in IRC. Or post on these boards....

The PSU Fantasy Football league is active. As of 8/27 we had 7 teams. More are welcome. Our autopick draft will be completed sometime between now and Saturday, August 30 at 11:59 pm PT. Once the draft happens, trades are opened up and managers can select from the waiver wire who they would like.

With people going back to school I didn't want anyone sitting around a PC waiting for their turn on the draftboard, so I decided not to do a live draft. This just means that you have to pay attention to the waiver wires or see if anyone wants to give up the guy you want.
