Can you do this?

Can you make a macro to move something from your inventory to your pistol slot etc? As I'm a stealther (yes, im lame etc etc) i need to switch to REK now and again.. is this possible by pressing 1 key etc?

Unfortunately, I don't think this is possible(don't quote me on that). I am not SUPER DUPER POSITIVE, but pretty sure. It would be a very good thing for the next patch though, because i am also a cloaker and it really blows when you have 2 stand at the door a tower, switch to REK, hack, switch back 2 pistol(just in case), go up to CC, switch back to REK, etc. It probably adds another minute to every tower hack I do and its REALLY annoying.

No you can not do this. Adding one more pistol slot to the cloaker suit is something I've suggested many times before.

i agree, cloakers play a vital role 70% of the time and having to wait an extra 12 seconds for that ams to be hacked could mean the difference between an deconstructed ams or a dead cloaker.

I wear Reinforced 90% of the time. In my first pistol slot I carry an ACE, in my second I carry my repair gun. Being an Adv. Hacker, I break out my REK quite often.. but I can't say it's even been a vital issue of timing. Just hit your inventory icon, and right click your REK. It's not exactly a long, drawn-out sequence.

I thought you had to hit "I", click on the REK in your inventory, click on the pistol slot, then click on the empty space where the REK was?

Yeah, so did i, u mean u can just right click on it? that would be somewhat better i suppose, i gotta try that.

Well, what pistol slot will it swap with when you right click on it? Oh well, I'll do it tonight during my experimentation :D

Yeah I too didn't know about the right click thing until about 3 weeks ago. Its so great. If you right click it will send it to the slot with an open space or the first slot. WIth a cloaker this doesn't matter since there is only one spot. This also works well with rifles. On my grunt char this helps alot when using decis.

If there were a macro to do it for you, what would be the point of limiting the number of weapons slots you can have?... And yes right click is a rather quick, efficient way to switch weapons.

there is no macro or a hotkey for such a thing unfortunately. HOWEVER, if you right click on something in your inventory it will instantly swap it out with an object in whatever holster is appropriate starting with the left pistol slot, or the top rifle slot for reinfoced. what this means for an infiltrator is you can swap your REK and you pistol in under half of a second with some practice.

open the inventory, right click the REK, close the inventory, you're done.
