I think we have tracked down the source of our DNS problems.

Multiple sources actually, from hosed NS records to stupid register.com - anyway hopefully we have tracked it down and it will work itself out over the next several days

Knollsoft's DNS was fucked for a week or so and no one was able to get there. They had to manually fix it or something.

I suspect this has been a major reason why things have been getting slow around here. There were a bunch of problems that all rolled up to create one huge problem. It sucks :mad:

BTW, this is also affecting the AGN portion of the site. You may manually get there using http://www.planetside-universe.com/agn , although not all of the links will work.

Damn, I still can't get on from home. Yes I have Comcast and yes I'm on the west coast.

I couldn't figure out why my ftp connection to our outfit site wouldn't go through...this is it.

I just talked to comcast (again) and they said there is a ticket for it. And to call back in 24 hrs.

This after they tried to point their finger at our ISP, and everyone elses ISP :mad:

I called again today and the ticket has been "Assigned" and should be resolved tomorrow. Comcast tech support is the slowest tech I have ever dealt with, and to top it off the jackasses you talk to dont even know what DNS is and wont elevate me to someone who has a brain.

Anyway I will double check again tomorrow.
