How do you get your own IRC server?

How do you set up an IRC server like irc.<name>.com like planetside-universe has? I really need help with this cause I'm staff at a site and we want to get an IRC server but I'm the only one that is active right now so I have to do it.

You need a server - i dont reccomend running one off your home PC

Sounds complicated to me, of course 'complicated' in my book is tying my shoe in relation to computers, but i'm sure you can find a tutorial or some good info off of google.

Yes I do know what Google is. But when I search there it gives me a bunch of links and maybe 1/300 is usefull.
