Any other iPod users out there?

I just got my beautiful new 15g iPod and I love it to death. Does any one else here have an iPod?

Why are iPods for dorks? Is it because of music stealing. I pay for all my music with iTunes music store. (not because I think its wrong to steal music, but it is easier and worth the money for the higher quality music.) If that is not why, than I am very confused :confused: .Please explain why you think iPods are for dorks.

Don't worry Jaged Sentrosi's obviously jealous at not having one.

I used one a for a while (was a m8's) and it's the best MP3 player.

I wish I could afford one for myself, but I'm still stuck with my Rio500.

A cd player is much larger. One disk holds, what around 20 songs at most? An ipod holds up to 7500 songs on something that fits in the palm of your hand. It looks beautiful and is easy to use. CD players are too big to fit in most pockets. An iPod is a great investment for anyone who loves music. There is just something about the iPod that makes everyone who uses it fall in love. I have talked to other iPodders, they love it too. You just have to use it to know what I mean.

I used an iPod for the first time yesterday... I dispise macs, but iPods are very impressive, I loved the controls, I was able to pick it up and know instantly how to use everything. The circular scroller is very neat, it is a touchpad basically... very nifty indeed.

My problem with them is their price... $300 for a 10 gig one? Esh...

I learned my lesson from buying the first gen Nomad, which used 64 meg flash memory chips, no internal memory. I payed $250 for that, just a year and a half ago... Now you can get 256 meg MP3 players for $75.

I truthfully don't think MP3s are the DVD of the music market, so I won't buy any more MP3 hardware...

He promised to send me a an elite computer for $250 because it was "Lying around collecting dust". He kept bullshitting me on IRC for a week, wouldn't give me his phone number (i knew he was gonna bail like this) said he sent it out and it never came. That was weeks ago, and he just fucking dissapeared. He is also trying to sell shit to other people, and i forwarned them. I persuaded Hamma to give him a custom title, i gave him voice in #ps-universe and i went out and bought $100 worth of computer parts (Mouse, Keyboard, Router) waiting for my new computer that never came. I rode his ass like crazy until finally he just left and i haven't heard from him since now. Oh, and strygun, save your comments now plz

His voice is gone in #ps-universe, and if it we're up to me i would take away that custom title too.

For the $300+ I could spend on an iPod, I could buy a CD burner (EBay=cheap) buy a bunch of CDs and burn just as many, if not more songs. Yes, I'd have to switch CDs, and yes, it can skip. But who cares?

The only time I will EVER buy a portable MP3 player is when:

a. They only cost SLIGHTLY more then a CD player.
b. They arent featured in a commercial that makes me actually throw my remote at the TV.
c. I have won the lottery and Bill Gates has died, naming me the sole heir in his will.

Even if all of the above has been met, I will STILL remember the awful commercial which has plagued so many others. (Such as Sentrosi)

Yes, there are commercials with crappy music, but this one has the WORST music in the history of mankind. Its so happy it makes me want to go out and kick some puppies. (not that I would. Its just the mind warping effects of that damn song)

Uh, yeah, I have no idea as to what you people are talking about. hell, I don't even own a TV. I refuse to look at newspapers, or listen to the radio. I usually don't find about anything till 10 days AFTER it's happened. I don't give a rats ass about war, sitcoms, commercials, technology, sports, or who did what to who. I only care about my music, my books, my movies, my computer, and my games. Period. end of story. Break for commercial.
