Does anyone know of any good online tutorials to learn how to program? A tutorial in any language would do, but I would perfer python. I have heard this is the easiest language for a begining programer.

Edit: This is Jaged. Knifeman is my friend and logged on at my house. I forgot to change acounts.

Google came up with a thousand boring text documents. I know that might be the only way, but I figured it would be worth asking you guys if you knew a better way.

The simplest way is to buy glasses with lenses the size of your fist, and find some checkered trousers with suspenders. It'll be like second nature, I swear it!

Rhode Island School of Design?

I'd suggest getting one of those books that's supposed to prepare you for the AP Computer Science test. They teach as much information as they can in as short of a book as possible.

www.google.com is your friend

Just because you googled it and didnt find anything, doesn't mean you should run to PSU and post asking us. Chances are we have no idea, but google can give you a quick answer simply by fine tuning your search criteria

Or if your school has the class available take it. Right now I'm in Comp science 1. Although right now we're learning VB.... the whole year..... But next year we get to learn java.

Yeah I don't like google either it doesn't give you the stuff you asked for.

Edit: Well I guess if you put in the right search words it'll work.

Is it a crime to post a simple question? There is a possibility someone would know of a great way. It was worth asking.

I never accused you of commiting a crime so don't start taking my suggestions and turning them into insults, sure it was worth asking but the fact remains if it's not on google, chances are your not going to find it.

The best way I've found to learn things like that is generally to read up a little first, find a few good tutorials and dive in.

I never accused you of commiting a crime so don't start taking my suggestions and turning them into insults, sure it was worth asking but the fact remains if it's not on google, chances are your not going to find it.

Yes, because an internet search engine is all knowing and would certainly know everything any given group of people would know and more.

No wait...

Point being your input was far from constructive and easily viewable as criticism. On top of that the impression you leave with your post, that any question that can't be answered by Google shouldn't be asked on PSU because it would most likely be futile, makes no sense what-so-ever. He's already gotten a few pieces of advice from different people that might help him. I think that fact speaks for itself when put up against the above quote.

S'ok though Squeek, I still  you
;)
