Vehicle tracking

One of the most annoying things in Planetside is when someone blows up / deconstructs / steals my ride. I think that the vehicle window should track everyone who does anything to your vehicle, so you can hand out whatever punishment you want. What do you guys think?

It's a good idea, but if a friendy ummmm "Borowed" your vehicle it could lead to more TK love going around, and we really don't need that!

That and spoons are pretty kewl!

Oh yeah!, i agree. Ive had someone deconstruct my AMS, and had someone (on my own side ) steal my Liberator!!!!. I dont know how they did it, but they got in and just flew off!. I was going to deconstruct it and watch him drop from the air, but i found that my vechical icon was not enabled... it no longer was under my control!!!.

I have a similar solution: have it NOT reset to empire when you die.

Ever time i respawn:

shift+ v

i think it shgould just track your vechical when you die.like tell u where it is on the overhead map. i dont know how many times ive parked my wraith far from a fight becuse i had a lotted wepons, dieed, then had 2 go looking for it becuse the prox map was to hard to see the yellow vechical.

I don't worry about it. If they want to take a reaver or mosquito with half ammo and some body damage, more power to them. I took advanced hacking just so I could steal enemy vehicles and operate the vehicle bay in enemy facilities.

I agree with that wholeheartedly. Someone takes your vehicles you get the option of blowing it to hell with them inside with no grief points.

All vehicles reset to empire if you die. I know i dont always remeber to relock it.

There is a pretty good reason for that IMO, but it still sucks.

If you die and end up half way across the cont there is a locked vehicle sitting around taking up server cycles, at least someone else can take it if unlocked.

Man, if you have to respawn over on the otherside of the cont, chances are :

A: your vehicle will be hack/ exploded
B: you will get a new vehicle, therefore the old one is no longer yours, and can be taken, and or will deconstuct faster then if it had an owner

Yep, no point, just lock it. If you spawn far away you may as well get a new vehicle elsehwere.
