Ok, playing last night, it happened to me both times i got dropped.
I would set the destination for my drop pod, somewhere in the middle of a continent, near an enemy base, and click the launch button....
I then find myself dropped at the edge of the continent, no where near my specified target destination, and incidently, no where near anything.....
This happen to anyone else, or am i missing some non-documented thing again ????

Er.. in beta..i realized that i accedenly set personal waypoints with the right mouse button, instead of selecting the drop with the left.
Lol.
Watch where the white crosshair is next time. Thats all i can sugggest.

Happens alot when you set up the crosshair and get bumped back to the global map because the continent locked, so you hit launch droppod and it drops you in the middle of nowhere.
At least it gets you on the continent.

Naaa, they were just planting ideas. They figured that people would band together and any time they see a pod drop, they would track it and frag the occupant.
But its really the case... if you get seen coming in by the enemy, they might be inclined to come get you, but ive never seen any "gangs" of dedicated pod hunters.

Did not mean u get fragged while dropping, as thats not possible in the game, i ment the moment your virgin body steps forth from the pod, your met with a hail of lasher fire!!!.

I've had misdirected drop pods twice. I set it one the north side of the continent, and land on the south. I even once set it, and when I harted, I was stopped, dead in mid air. Drop pod just floated in mid air, didn't do nothing. Wouldn't drop, wouldn't let me out. Funny thing was, I set it for the north side of the continent, and I was in mid air on the south side of the continent. I don't remember how I got out of that, but I died. I remember that. I had to respawn on the south side, when I wanted to be on the north. Really pissed me off and ruined my day. Always ruins my day when it happens. I usually go back to the Sanc and quit the game for a while.

The other day I dropped on solsar>seth. As I was coming down I saw 7 other pods around me I figured they were NC pods like mine. Then as we continue to drop I see red and black on the pods and say "oh shit". I dropped right smack in the middle of a full TR squad dropping at the same time. So I turn on surge and run behind a tree. Then some guy comes up to the tree and I pop out and jackhammer him then I got sniped. But man I shit my pants when I saw those guys next to me.

Just the other night my roomie was using the HART, he selected where he dropped and the game went to the continent loading screen. then it showed him dropping and he landed right next to the HART building again. It was weird and he was pretty ticked off. The continent wasn't locked either.

I was driving around in my Lightning last night and killed 4 Vanu that droped in the exact same spot near me. Two infantry, a MAX and another infantry. I kinda felt sorry for them...ok, not really :p
