Chuys in Austin.
Best Mexican joint in all of Texas and well worth the 2 hour drive.
Second, would be a local place called El Paso.
Obviously, I am a huge fan of Mexican food. :drools:

Oh man, you guys have to get out of the corperate resteraunt mindset. Corperate resteraunts will never be anywhere near star worthy.
I like going to smaller restaraunts that have a good chef who is doing something interesting and creative with his menu. The type of place where the menu will change from week to week. I am a big fan of multi-course meals (especially the cheese course).

Chuys in Austin. Best Mexican joint in all of Texas and well worth the 2 hour drive. Second, would be a local place called El Paso. What?!?!? BTW I'm from San Antonio, and th best Mexican food in Texas is definetly not in Austin. There is a great place here in town, family owned (they're opening up a 2nd one) called Los Barrios. Chuys is Tex-Mex more than anything. I'm Mexican... and its definetly not Mexican food :lol: Oh BTW the best Mexican food is homemade...

Ya know, I went into an Authentic Mexican food joint one time.. and they had a sign on the wall that read something like:
"Real mexican food is neither hot, nor spicy"
Gimmie TEX-MEX ANYDAY BABY!

Austin=Rox; San Antonio=eh
I absolutely love Austin so it's not problem for me to take a trip down there meet up with my buddies and have some "tex mex." I have heard good things about San Antonio, but I am not going to drive 5 hours. :) Chuys owns, and if you think homemade is the best, you should try my moms, I bet you would change your mind. :lol:
I might take a trip down to San Antonio, chill on the riverwalk and check out Los Barrios. Do they have a web site? I am the final word on Mexican Food/Tex-Mex (at least as far as clueless white-people go) :love:

The Classic cup cafe in KC. It's awesome, seriously as good as Ruth's Krys steak house. If you in KC, park by Saks fifth ave and walk down the plaza at about 5:45 when the sun is setting and go to the classic cup. They sell the best marbeled prime steak I have ever had. You can sit out on the sidewalk (which is cordoned off) and eat on their patio. Great food, but kinda pricey. 8.50 for a glass of the best tea on earth. Seriously, it's the nectar of GOD. Go there, you won't regret it. If you like wine, it's the place to be. They have a annual wine contest there, and the guy that owns the restraunt, owns 3 vineyards in Austrailia, and he came in 3rd in the contest. Suffice it to say, they know wines.

Man, doesn't anyone else like high quality, well prepared food? Not deep fried crap served by girls in tight shirts. Although, I'd kill for a good piece of fried chicken right now.

I'd say the majority of people who play online games are high school and college students. Sure, if I have a date I want to impress I'll take her to a fancy restaurant, but on a college income I'm not going to go there all the time.

I love gormet food Bohica as well as greazy tight, I mean wet, no, I mean deep fu.... Fried food! Oh yea! as the Hooters/Bunny Ranch!
Tell you the truth my favorite gormet is the stuff I make myself being in the industry for so long. Plus I know my food is clean! (hehe anyone ever worked at a waiter or cook probably knows what I am talking about on occasion)
And watch out for that 3 year old mustard bottle! :eek: :eek: :eek:

Some of the titty bars in Houston have really good buffets. Like Treasures', Ritts', and Colorados'. Pay like $5 to get in, and eat better food than that crap at Hooters. Hooters doesn't have a thing on them, other than cheaper beer.
