I HATE video game CD keys... I bought Warcraft 3 when it came out but couldn't plkay it cause of acute PC suckyness, now I have upgraded and I am ready to spill human blood. So I grab the cd, put it in and begin the install. Oh, wait, it needs that stupid little key. Why do they put the key to the game on the one part of the game most gamers are likely to loose? I can find the manual, i can find the CD, hell, i can even find the box! But no CD case. Anybody else annoyed by those stupid things? Why can't they just print the CD key on the, ohhh, i don't know, CD?!?

Uh, where were you keeping the CD if it wasn't inside the case?

They make CD keys specifically to annoy little chump punks like you who constantly lose important things like CD keys.
All the KazAA war3z boyz lose their cases it seems.

Uh, he isn't complaining about it having a CD-Key, he's complaining that they couldn't have picked a worse spot to put it, and i am inclined to agree.

Yeah I understnad this frustration. My little bother played EQ with me. He took a break because his account got canceled. The short story is he had the account on our mothers CC card. Her card had some fraudulent charges on it one month so she did the cancel and reissue thing. SoE tried to bill the old card. SoE got a denial saying the old card had been canceled due to fraud and canceled his account. This pissed him off a bit and he washed his hands of the whole issue. Well a few months later he decided to see if he could get his account restored since he wanted to play again. E-mails were sent and SoE wanted the original credit card number and the CD keys. Not a problem except we couldn't find his copy of EQ for the life of us. We could install off of my copy, but because his had probably been cleaned (in other words tossed in a random cleaning of the office at my parents house) we had no key to give. So his account remains canceled.
I've started writing CD Keys in permenant marker on my freaking computer case. I figure if I lose that, the CD keys won't matter

I have a booklet for all my CD's, Music, W@43z, and everything else i need. I take the CD key, print it out onto a Word table document thingy, and slip it into the CD booklet in one of the pockets. I have CD KEys from games over 3 1/2 years old :)
