Best Medium Assault Gun

I know, this poll is really old, but they have changed the guns up a bunch, and the game as well so I thought i would find out what everyone likes.

I personnally favor the Pulsar, as most of the fighting is done in medium range and it makes cool noise :)

sweeper shotgun indoors, gauss or cycler outdoors. I traded in my Jackhammer because the sweeper is the same thing with a slower RoF and clip. not worth my 4 cert points, if you ask me.

I agree, I tried Heavy Weapon, but didn't like it. My medium assault weapons are good enough for me, that and a bolt driver :)

Either way, for me its always been sweeper indoors, gauss outdoors. I concur, JH is nothing special, just a less accurate sweeper with 2x the clip and a slightly higher RoF. (For 4 certs I can practically get another advanced skill!)

I loved my Sweeper/cycler combo, but since I stared a new character I'll have to admit, for the price you pay to get the Punisher, it's the best weapon all around. Launch a plasma grenade and switch over to your rounds of ammo. Instant kill most of the time.

I see pulsar on there a lot. I've never even tried to use it. I take it that it must be petty good. I'll have to try it out soon.

Gauss, though admittedly my TR character rarely uses the Cycler but as it isn't an option that doesn't matter :p

My favourite config is guass + JH, very balanced AI. I read that the JH also fires 2 or 4 more pellets than a sweeper, somewhere on SOE PS boards.

Guass no question about it , it owns at longer ranges and has good damage and can snipe with burst fire at 4x zoom

The cycler is hands down the best MA weapon in the game.

Indoors, outdoors it don't matter if you got that bad boy locked and loaded!

When I play my markov alt I use the pounder (guilty pleasure) and cycler almost exclusively. I even have HA for the fun of the mcg, but when its time to get shit done I always use the cycler.

Not much between gauss/cycler/pulsar really, but i prefer either the gauss or cycler, bullet weapons are more satisfying. Gauss looks best which counts for a lot :)
