Quick question, if a black person says they are proud to be black, they are considered someone with pride in their rich heritage, but if a white person says they are proud to be white, people look at you like you are a skin head.

I recently took the ASVAB (some military aptitude test, got me out of english class :)) and when they asked you to put in your race it had the little bubble to fill in for the different choices. One fore Latino American, one for Asian American, one for Pacific Islander, and one for African American and of course one for white. How come we are just white? I want Hyphenated name to! I am Norwegian American! :D Actually, I don't hyphenate, black people are black, I am white, people from asia are asians and so on. Just my 2cents cause i feel like ranting. ;)

the one thing that drives me insane is when people say "not to sound like a racist" espically on completely legit questions like what race are you?
