Heh i cant believe no one created a thread yet for this.
So, yesturday Link Facility Benifits went up. It 0wns, check OF for full description of benifits. At school atm otherwise i would.
In addition to this they added some stuff that i didnt see on the notes.
GROUP ACCESS WOOT instead of squad on the vehicle pane, you now have "group" which allows access to squad, outfit and platoon. THIS ACCUALLY STAYS SET WHEN YOU DIE!
Also, in congunction with LFB, they added the auto repair terms. They are spiffy.You fly up and it starts to autorepair you (spiffy animation) , you can then hit g for the vehicle tab, and favorite tabs of the inventory term. (Different set of favorites, they dont mix)
Also, some of us noticed those green things with the black dot in the center (to the left when you enter a bio lab) gave you the message "Press G to use the Main Terminal" but when you hit it you got "must be CR5 to use main terminal"
We got a CR5 to look at it, and all it did was bring up his inventory :/ So, somethings coming, we just dont know what.
I got word from the dev i was playing with (after much begging about wtf it did) that it wasnt supposed to be in yet, and would be removed in the next build
On top of that there were a few bugs, and one very strange one. At one section under a biolab, near the cc, everyone went invisable. No ams. Just. Invisable. Very, very strange.
Ill update this post with the OF patch notes when i get home.

On a side note... the decimators were not ment to fire in such quick succession because in the test server in secondary it now takes as long to fire a second rocket as it does in primary.
Also, LFB's are cool. :D
Are there any plans for an organized test anytime soon? or maybe we can try to get a battle together on our own?

Just a few quick questions. Since the new LFB are going in. Will they plan to upgrade the NC and VS AV weapons? I use AV all the time. The pheonix is nice in being able to see what you shoot, but they don't do hardly any damage. It takes 4 to 5 to kill a reinforced, 3 for a max and 18 to 20 for a deployed AMS.
If the Amp station is going to give the vehicles shields, will a deployed ams in the SOI of a Amp Station get constant shields? If so it will take like 3 trips with a full pack of Pheonix to take one AMS out. That will like totally suck ass.
Also they need to fix the bug with the Pheonix. Sometimes if you shoot dead center of a vehicle you will pass through it. I haven't noticed it all that often with to many vehicles. I always notice it with AMS's, either deployed or not. If you shoot and AMS dead center the Tubes your shot will sometimes pass through the AMS and miss. Total waste of a perfect shot. I try now to shoot them either in the cab of the AMS or the rear.

The AV weapons aren't meant to kill infantry, so the argument about how many to kill a reinforced is moot. Phoenix is already stronger than the Striker, so the chances of them increasing it even more are fairly slim. You'd be better off asking for an increase to 2 in the tube before a reload I'd think. I'm also pretty sure it takes less than 18-20 Phoenix's to destroy an AMS as I'm nearly positive I've destroyed an AMS with less Strikers (which I was fairly certain was full health at the time) and the Phoenix hits vehicles harder.

That's not a Phoenix exclusive bug, it happens with the Striker or with Decimators as well. It sucks, but it doesn't give an advantage to any of the empires so it's probably lower on the list (at least I hope it is) than some other bugs. You just have to slightly adjust your play style to make sure you're truly hitting the AMS.

It's not jsut AV weapons either. Pretty much anything will travel through the spawn tube area on an AMS as well. Makes chasing a running one down in my Lightning a little bitchy but it's not too hard to work around.

That bug happens with all the weapons. I just try to aim for the cab or the back.

A single man isnt meant to take out an AMS by himself. Thus, the 15+ shots required to take it out are perfectly fine. This is a team based game, so if you had 5 guys all with phoenixes shoot 3-4 missles each, it would get blown. That's what its meant to be like, and its true of all the AV weapons.

I was on the playtest last night, I crashed 23 times in an hour and a half :mad:
The shield is freakin sickening. I had a striker as a VS person, 4 hits it took to bring down a 3/4 full shield BEFORE any damage was done to the tank.
With our decimators gimped and AV not exactly hard hitting tanks will reign imo.
Only good thing it takes ages to fully charge
