Times like this i actually wish Dio would show up in a thread so he could put up one of his 2000 "owned" pics. This one actually deserves it.

That was random trolling/flaming. On topic, thats sweet. Nvidia has been falling lately so chances are im switching to radeon.

The difference between the 5900 ultra and the 9800 pro are so very subtle it would be nearly impossible for the naked eye to pick it up.

The only difference is the price, the 9800 pro costing around $360, and the 5900 ultra being around $250. (These are prices I just happened to remember from my trip to bestbuy today)

I personally go for the more expensive stuff but I've been a geforce user for well over 3 years now. Naturally I'd be reluctant to switch brands, but if I can get numbers for both cards from more than one source, and the 9800 pro is in fact better by enough to spend the extra 100 bucks, I'll go for it.

Other than that, long live nvidia and their naked dawn demo!

Well, there is a difference. It comes with the AA, which is Anti Aliasing, for those untech minded people. The Radeon outstrips the FX without AA, but with AA the FX wins. And since I don't even know what the heck AA does, or is for, I don't give a rats ass. I've tried both lines. It doesn't matter to me what card I have. All I know is that when I go into my computer parts store, and I say to the guy, "I want to buy the obsolute best video card," that what I get, is the best, as far as he is concerned.

Bah

It sounds more like Valve screwed that pooch, more then nvidia sucking.

We'll see. I got a 5900 ultra on the cheap, (friend needed to fix his car... 500 buck card for 250) so hopefully it'll pimp, if not, then I'll survive somehow!
