how do people create actual gameplay footages? it'll be all bragging rights when PS do come out. having that footage to back you up, rather than screenshot, is a ++.

Do you mean how do people record the videos? If so I'm not sure of an exact program but that's how its done I'm sure.

Probably the easiest way is to take the s-video out on your video card and plug it into a digital recorder.
If you've got the hardware, running the s-video out to another computer with a capture card would be even sweeter.

Yeah, true. If you don't mind it on VHS  then you can get video and put straight on your VCR if you don't have anything digital. What you'll do after that is unsure though..hehe...

Violation of NDA = u not playing beta anymore. Dont reccomend releasing screenshots and movies.

I think he was referring to showing PWNAGE clips, not violating the NDA. ;)
a good way is to video out to a VCR, then Video IN back after the clip is recorded, and turning that into digital format, which you can easily edit, add sounds, ect.
Its the cheap mans way out. And cheap is good. :p
You can also do it with mpeg2 encoder/decoders, preferably in hardware *well, ONLY, in this case* but you gotta have a fast machine for this, because now you're writing to your hard drive while playing the game.

good one hamma. don't want to lose my beta priviledges if i get in. what i meant was when the official release draws near, i'll need to prepare those top 10 plays in PS.

My girlfriend does that stuff for DAoC. The software she uses actually let's her add in music, text, and edit the actual footage in a variety of ways. It's pretty cool, and I might see about getting her to make a couple PS videos, if I get into the Beta.
