Well, I DLed the patch, started playing, and said "Yay! Framerate optimization!" So I start off killing people with my outfit on Oshur. We get overwhelmed and move on to Cyssor. Now, I wasnt experiencing the severe 5 second lag that normally occured when opening a door during this time. All well and good there but after I got to the sanc and opened the door to the outside I froze for about 20 some seconds. So I figure its just another oddity in the framerate optimization. (I was getting heavy sudden FPS lag in the strangest places) So I continue on. The next thing I know I'm staring at my desktop in standard PS fashion.

Now I figure I'm donw to about the usual 250~ megabytes on my HD, which is normal after a session starting at 750~ megabytes. I got to win explorer and I have a mere 585 KB, thats a smidge more than half a megabyte, remaining.

Why is this? I cant free up more than about 1 gig on my computer anymore, so now what do I do? Live with CTDs every other cont load? :(

P.S. What happened to the server poulation dots?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't PS designed to work with higher end systems?

Minimum Specs: With this setup, the game will run, but not good...even in small battles.

Windows 98/2000/ME/XP
Pentium III 1.0 GHz or greater
256 MB RAM
Direct3D compliant video card with 32MB RAM *
DirectX 8.1 compatible sound card
56k + Internet connection
4X speed CD-ROM
3.25 GB hard drive space
DirectX 8.1 or greater

Recommended Specs: With this setup you'll get good FPS in most situations. In large battles your FPS will drop.

Windows 98/2000/ME/XP
Pentium III 1.6 GHz or greater
512 MB RAM
Direct3D compliant video card with 64MB+ RAM
DirectX 8.1 compatible sound card
Broadband Internet connection
8X speed CD-ROM
3.5 GB hard drive space
DirectX 8.1 or greater

IMO, the recommended system requirement should include 1024mb RAM with a 128mb vidcard.
