Like every patch- Great in theory, but a few major bugs screw it up, like everything sony does :mad: .

They really should have tested the patch more. That FPS drop and the terminal names.... it's just plain stupid.

Why is the favorite names such a big deal... The point of that list is that you can press g (number) and you're good to go. I don't know about you guys but after I set a favorite, I know what it is, they could all be named A for all I care. Making the favorite and assigning it a number sort of burns it into my mind.

I like it. I'm not over joyed, but I do like it. They implimented new stuff, and got working some old stuff, such as continent lock, and chat filter. They also messed up the Favorates list, which I didn't like. As for the Decimator, meh, It's fine. It should stay that way. I hardly ever get FPS lag now. I only got it, I think once last night, and it lasted only a few minutes. I did however have one problem. I was trying to enter a tech plant through the garage. When I got to the inner door, it opened, and then closed immediately on me, and pushed me into the wall. I had to recall back to the HART to get out.

I like the new patch. Couldn't care about the Dec....I prefer the phoenix. I'm happy that they fix cont lock. The Fac benies are sweet, It makes you use strategy. The FPS opt thou has killed my fps in some situations

My one big complaint is the huge FPS hit I'm getting now. I used to not have a problem at all. Now I get long sustained shutters and lag randomly when playing.

The base benefits are nice, but I think the new base radar is a little over the top. You shouldn't see people that are crouching. Cloakers are even easier to find now and it's hurting them. I can easily defend a base in my Lightning now, because I know where every enemy is and where they are going. A small group of two or three players don't stand a chance of taking a base from me. They never even make it to the walls before I shoot them or run them over.

For the most part I like the benefits.

The lag has pretty well made the game unplayable, but I'm willing (and hoping) to believe that it's a temporary issue that they will resolve fairly quickly. I only played on Saturday night and my buddy finally messaged me with "You're getting killed an awful lot". I was lucky enough to see 2 of the deaths coming (although the lag wouldn't let me avoid them) and the rest of the deaths I never even had a chance to see thanks to the lag for me. The topping was when an AMS I had just spawned at was blown up, killing me. As I was lying on the ground my character began to take more damage and then died again. That's when I logged off and decided to wait a few days.

I think the new radar benefit is horrible and they've all but destroyed the infil altogether now. It's much worse than I had feared. The infil already had nearly crippling bugs to work against, now they've actually taken the time to make things far worse for them. I'm waiting for them to introduce an implant that coupled with the infil suit makes you actually hard to detect.

So one benefit I hate, one hopefully temporary issue because of their FPS "fix", and the rest I liked from what little I got to see of them.

Is this a bug or intentional? I didn't read about it in the patch notes.

For some reason they changed the distance from objects that you need to be in order to place a deployable. It sucks and I don't understand what was wrong with it to begin with.

The benefits are a welcome addition, something many have been waiting on for some time .. I joined the week of release. So far I've not had problems with lag .. even with "Huge Enemy" whatever at a base .. have the GeForce FX5900 so guess that helps too. :D

Had problems with mine/turret placement too .. we had stopped the LLU and I went to place a mine next to it .. no go .. not even a boomer, and this was in the open terrain. The game was picky where it would allow me to place mines and turrets .. didn't like me being close to some things .. other times, like mining base entrances, no problem. *shrug*

Now if they'd REALLY fix the turret firing bug I'd be very happy camper .. guess I'm one of the lucky ones.

The facility link benefits are great , FPS improvements are always welcome but alot of people have had issues so i think it should have gone through Q&A. SOE has always been half-assed about Q&A testing (Liberator,LLU,etc.) I just hope they have a decent Q&A by the launch of platoons so they dont screw that up cause its usually a week before some thing gets fixed.
