Johnny Cash died same day.
Sorry, but I'm much sadder about his death than John's.

John Ritter was in Three's Company, 8 Simple Rules for Dating my Teenage Daughter, and the movie Slingblade. He was a good actor, he didn't make as much of an impact on the entertainment world as Johnny Cash, but he was still a pretty good actor. They'll both be missed.

but cash was so much cooler than ritter!

the only good role ritter ever played IMO is the sexually challenged man in slingblade

only because slingblade was such a dank movie

This is a John Ritter thread, if you want to talk about the other guy, make your own. No need to be disrepecting John because hes dead, thats just low.

I'm quite sad because Ritter has a show on primetime that will have to be canceled now. It is really funny...too bad.

8 Simple rules was a great show. I hope that they don't cancel it. It would be a shame to not see these two every week:

Their deaths were both overhyped they are only showbusinness people. Hundreds of people died the same damn day and they didnt get any coverage. The only one I can actually say it's ok to cover his death would be Cash. He did something for showbusiness and made alot of the bands that we have now what they are today.

Ritter can be burned for all I care.

And again you have to excuse squeeky as he his right now PMS BOY!!!! dun dun dun dun!

Too bad people said the same thing on IRC and when I questioned that I got flamed by you

No idiot, you said fuck cash, and no one should care. You we're obviously fishing (See: Trolling).

Actually someone said fuck Ritter, so I decided to take the opposite side and say that Ritter was important and Cash was not and no one should care. I was making a point that if you care so much about one person's death but not another you're being hypocritical and I got flamed by you for saying "Fuck Cash" after others said "Fuck Ritter"

Squeeky
2003-09-14, 10:38 PM
I flamed you for being hypocritical, i didn't see anyone else say "Fuck Ritter".

John Ritter was also the Father in Problem Child 1 and 2. I'm not sure about 3, if there was a PC3.

Anytime someone of talent dies, I feel that this world is going more and more to hell. I felt struck hard when I learned the Princess Diana and Mother Teresa were both dead. I was struck equally hard when I learned John Candy died of a heart attack, and was followed in the same manner by Chris Farley. I didn't much like Chris Farley's work, or works. But I was saddened badly when I heard John was dead. His works are among some of my most favorates. What about Mr. Dressup? Or Mr. Rogers?
What about Mr. Charles Shultz, the creater of Charley Brown? I was extremely saddened when he retired from the cartoon business, and was equally saddened to hear he passed away. What about Jim Henson? I cried when I hear he had passed from this world. I was young, and I loved his work. I still love his work. The Muppets are still favorates of mine. It always brings a smile to my face to see Animal, or Kermit and Miss Piggy.

It wasn't about that these people were dead. It was that the world would no longer feel their presence, except in rememberance of their works. THAT is what you should be thinking about when you think about the death of Johnny Cash, or John Ritter. Not weither or not you liked what they did, or even know what they did. It's that this world will no longer be brightened by their work. It's times like this that make ME regret what I wrote about 9/11.

Mourn for a little while, but keep a smile on your face. If death were indeed the most horrible thing in life we'd all be fucked.
