Hell, if we can get 5 people that would be piznimp. Someone grab MrVicchio when he's done slaving for hamma. God I can't imagine how butter smooth that game would play now. I played that with 56k and a p2 450. I doubt there is anyone still playing that game.

Lets see if we can get 5 or more people to play tonight. I have to go teach a guy a built a comp for how to use it, but I should be home by 7.30 central. Letsee how many people we can get together by then, and then we can host a server call planetside. If we have a lot of people we can password it, and the password can be - drown. That way hamma can get in.

Mr.Vicchio wishes to inform all peoples on the PSU Forums that he has never played Tribes or Tribes2. If you wish to locate Mr.Vicchio on line, he HIGHLY suggests you use GameTiger. Most liekly he will either be playing DoD on the GoGoGo DoD v3.1 server, OR he will be admin on the KbK/[ReTrY] CS Server.
IF he is not found there, or on line here... he may ALSO be playing Earth and Beyond Andromeda Galaxy playing either his TT Velderia or his PW Veldicar.

IF all else fails, assume he is playing SMB2 with his wife and kids, or a nice, manly game of RCT2.

i think you start at 1.0... but...sometimes updating this bitch is rough.

Anyways, i suggest that we all make characters with PS| infront of our names...that way we can use the buddy list and locate eachother if we are playing.

so...

you put
PS| in your buddy list (this will appear after the updates... i think)
and it should give you all the people playing under that tag... should show them whenever you click the "Favorites" section (should be... far left) and be shown with a small bullet or something... ya... hopefully that helps people.

I'm almost certain that they don't put it on the shelves anymore... i remember i bought my copy a few years back and it was only about 10 bucks... i think i bought an extra copy for a friend about 3 years ago and it was 5 dollars... lol, so they aren't losing any money by using a dl instead of the disc :)

There are like 3 different patches depending on what patch you currently have, I'm not sure what I'm using right now...

Yeah, I was able to find the patches. I'm currently running on version 1.0 I can't download the patch "1.0to1.11" and I'm not sure why. Am I trying to run the patch from the wrong spot? Should the patch be in a particular folder?

Actually, I'm thinkin you should have gone from 1.0 to 1.2 - but I might be wrong. Just use the second dl on Emas page link (like 5 mssgs up from here).

Damn it, does anyone know of a way that I can get the 1.8 to 1.11 patch? Not from taco's site cause that hates me, but from somewhere else. It's 6 megs I think so it'sa good size. Is there anyone who has it that doesnt' have an email cap? Gamespot has restarted me 3 times and now I'm 420 in line with a 2.5 hour wait.

No way i'm installing T2 again, that update takes about 5 hours :lol:

Easiest thing is for anybody who wants to play T1 with PS gang would be to NOT open kazaa and NOT searh for Tribes in software section, once they HAVE NOT downloaded it they can NOT run the autorun.exe and NOT get the patch from eMa's site. Remember warez is NOT the way to go gang. :D

Well i know i DIDN'T download my Tribes from Kazaa, that would be very very wrong, if i did do it though (totally hypothetical) i would have searched in software for "Tribes" and found a 200mb file named "Tribes full (PLEASE SHARE THIS) which is what i would have downloaded,unzipped (even if there would have been an error) and than ran the autorun.exe to install it. But like i said that would be wrong so i DIDN'T do any of that....nope not me...so....that server up? :D

I DID SUX. I was lucky on my kills, I dont like the controls,, and shooting with cross hairs was a crap shoot. I fired deveral time on some one RIGHT in my cross hairs.. and the shot would hit to thier lower right.. or their upper left.. or go off somewhere else.. wTF?
