I think Medicinal Marijuana is good though. But the government needs to montior it closely to keep out abusers

Legalize it and tax the hell out of it. You'll get rid of a lot of drugdealers and other low lifes in this way.

absolutely agreed. Organized crime gained untold amounts of wealth during prohibition in the US. They made enough money to set themselves up forever. Now what? They're into the drug trade with the repeal of prohibition. Still making tons of money because they feed a want for millions of folks.

Take that away from them. Legal and taxed to death...what then will organized crime do? Go broke? Maybe not, but at least we wouldnt be spending billions of dollars fighting an unwinable war on the drug cartels.

Canada's plan isn't horrible. They still go after and punish the dealers, but no longer sit back and watch the users die.

To them, this is a public health issue, so kudos to them for taking a stand for what they believe, no matter how unpopular in the USA.

Ahh, but that's just it. I'm more than happy to watch the users die. If you're dumb enough to use a used needle to inject a dose of heroin diluted with gutter water, you deserve exactly what you get.
