From the looks of one of the polls, Teamspeak2 is the voice software of choice. Anyone have suggestions for a good voice com setup? Is a headset the way to go, or can I get away with using my desktop speakers supplemented with a desktop mic?
Been looking at a few headset reviews:
Plantronics audio 90 = mostly positive
Plantronics audio 70 = awful (slips off the ear)
Anyone have experience using these products? From what I read it seems a lot of people use voice com for CounterStrike, but I've never used it myself.

Whatever works, I don't think there is a "best setup", it's whatever you perfer.

I have this headset:

I have no problems with it slipping off because it's not one of those funky "sit on the back of your head" headsets. The sound and Mic are both great. It's a little pricey, but I've heard of sets that don't have volume control and you can save a nice chunk of change. I dunno most people don't wanna spend that much on a headset, but I love em.
I just dont want my parents to hear the other people cussing and take my ps away.
you know what this reminds me of? www.omf.com except that ive waited for over 7 years for that game...

I use the Labtec Axis-712 (http://www.labtec.com/index.cfm?page=gear/details&contentid=8&countryid=1001&languageid=1). The quality is almost digital and the sound reproduction is excellent.
I also recommend the Labtec Axis-002 (http://www.labtec.com/index.cfm?page=gear/details&contentid=1&countryid=1001&languageid=1). It's only $20 most places and does quite fine. I have a huge head (can't wear hats) and it fits both my roommate (normal head) and me fine, albeit not at the same time.

Any headset that looks ok would be a good one. Spend more if you ant higher quality. I spent $40(CDN) on mine.

I got a platronic headset. It's good. If you don't mind having it a little more annoying and want it cheaper and you already have headphones or speakers just get a mic. They're often about $10.
