7-day free trial is back

Yeah the Planetside 7-day free trial is back. It has been updated to include all the new stuff like the LLU and Liberator.

Ya I downloaded it but the cd-key it gave me is wrong or something. Whenever I put it in it says

"We're sorry, there has been an error. Please try again!"

So I kept trying but the same thing over and over. Am I screwed or is this happening to anyone else?

Well right before the 7-day free trial closed last time this was happening to some people. I would have thought they fixed it or something. But maybe it's just you.

You can no longer string multiple keys onto the same account. If you're trying to use a new key on an old account, or trying to use a key from the first beta, you will get that error. I've confirmed both of these.

i adviced to friend to try it and he said after asking SOE tech support:
THE BETA WAS OPEN AT 16.09.2003 and CLOSED at 18.09.2003 BECAUSE OF CHEATERS!

So you can't download the free trial over and over again for the keys anymore? So if you use the 7 day trial to make an account, then you get another 7 day trial key once that time runs out it won't work? Or is it that you can't download the 7 day trial on the same file planet account more then once?

My friend was useing alot of 7 day trials until file planet went out for awhile. I don't like people exploiting the 7 day free trial, but with the low population there is now, maybe it would help the paying customers stay in the game more. Also not a large amount would exploit it since it takes so long to download.

Edit: also, my friend can't buy the game due to certain circumstances.

During the last PS Fileplanet 7-day-trial account offer you could use a new trial key on an already existing Planetside account. All you needed was to create a new Fileplanet account for each key and an e-mail address to use for the Fileplanet account. You didn't have to re-download the client or even rerun it. You only needed the URL which was and still is http://www.fileplanet.com/betas/planetside_trial.aspx

Now, in addition to creating a unique Fileplanet account for a new key, you can only use that key on a new Planetside account. The thing is, none of accounts you have to sign up for requires e-mail verification, and have almost no fields to fill out, it's a very fast process to get free PS for as long as the trials are run. Only downside is that you never get high level characters.

oops i figured out how to get past this. You just have to create a new Gamespyid AND a new station account:D :D :D :D :D :D
