Hears my Naval Ideas which i would very much like implemented

Rules
1: you can only swim while your stamina lasts preventing anyone getting stuck in the ocean though you could be recalled to your sanctuary.

2: There will be life boats on the larger ships so when it starts to sink go to the appropriate area and wait for the life boats which could be destroyed by larger ships

3: ermmm any thoughts

Bases

There will be a few oil rig style platforms but the majority would be sort of cruisers which can be hacked not jacked and have a smaller boat term to get things like escorts and a normal term without land vehicles.

These huge ships will be big enough to carry large amounts of people and cannot be destroyed but can be immobilised like destroying gen (may be balance issue)

Boats

Incubus: 15 man destroyer common pool

A large ship with the ability to latch on to cruisers and launch a boarding party usually 2 are used in an attack on a cruiser giving you a force of twenty to over power the ship. It has a large main gun and 3 smaller turrets to take out other ships.


The Dolphin: 24 man Transport/AMS Common pool

Used for either boarding cruisers or crossing oceans has 2 small cannons usually requires escort. Also acts as an AMS with spawn tubes and an equipment terminal but only 23 people can be onboard a one time (minus driver).

Surfer: 1 Man speed boat

It is the fastest boat in the game with a 59mm cannon it does not pack much punch but it is enough to take out an incubus but generally uses its mobility to take out enemies.

VS MagSkimmer: 2 man assault/escort skimmer

Is a modified version of the magrider but can travel on water uninterrupted and only on land for a short amount of time at greatly reduced speeds. it can strafe like the magrider and is armed with the Asteroid ;) a better version of the comet destined to take down naval armour and a beefed up front mounted lancer I�m out of creative ideas.

TR Ravager: 3 man assault/escort ship

A larger boat than the others the Ravager is the most heavily armed with a dual cycler and a 100mm cannon it can take on almost anything and come out the victor except the larger ships.

NC Eagle 2 man Assault/escort ship

Has a single 200mm cannon that can take out a surfer in 2 hits but it�s the slowest firing and the least manoeuvrable of the assault ships. A bt like the vanguard but not as hated hoprfully

So if it takes 2 hits from the Eagle to take down that one little surfer which I'm thinking is something like the basilisk little and manuverable how many hits does it take to take down one of the big ones:eek:

All you need for naval vehicles is a couple 150s and a platform that MAXes can fire from.

But in todays world, cannons on boats are bigger than on tanks, so basicly it should be stronger than the vangaurd.

I don't think there is a point to Navy, it would be like in BF1942....pointless, except for the aircraft carrier hardly anyone uses the ships unless all bases are occupied and you need sum firepower to kill the enemies there, and there are hardly any bases in PS right next to the sea

Thanks for your feedback guys there are some issues with the blancing but i liked the cruisers idea. 2 Huge ships in combat with the smaller ships buzzing around in between them oh and here's pne more to transport land vehicles to cross oceans quite why you'd want one i don't know just HART over there and build yourself a new one but hey.

The Whale 8man + 1 vehicle and 2 max's or 5 Max's

A smaller capacity for troops than the dolphine but the ability to transport a land vehicle to where it is needed most is invaluable also it can land maxes on cruisers

Also there would have to be bonuses like new land veichals if the cruisers where captured ??? new weapons ok like cc but more incentive to ditch that vanguard and get that eagle:D also to answer reaper of deaths query lots if you use just that little cannon a trio of incubi (plural of incubus :D) could just about take out a cruiser with there guns but its like destroying the gen a last ditch method, fighting for cruisers is about sending in the troops. Definatly the best fights would be two cruisers locked in combat exchanging blows. All this is to Encourage team play like in BF 1942 you can drive a tank on your own but its hard to take out troops without a machine gun so someon on the top does that and thats teamwork:p.

what about a submarine? Ive thought too about a base on the water just like dropship center. but it would only be good on cyssor or transport on a base close to the water. To take people that is.

I'll bet you if they ever come out with a naval expansion, it will be all about the underwater domed bases, submarines, and ancient vanu sushi rolls that provide different base benefits depending on the color of the fish....

you could also have airpads on top for hacking capabilities or import areas for a magrider, a deliverer, or other uses to get on the water.[PHP]
