Just saw an add in a gaming mag and thought I'd check out the site. Looks pretty good. So far it looks like a wc3 type of game, but with LOTR units. I'm excited.

played the demo.... its decent but nothing special... felt like WC3... only the names were changed to protect the innocent...:p

The lotr game should feel more like cnc genarals...they both use the sage engine....

I've never heard of that, but there was a rumor a couple months ago of Vivendi beginning development on a came entitled "Middle Earth Online". An MMORPG totally based off the LOTR series. Could be pretty cool :confused:

War of the Ring is based on the Warcraft 3 engine. Its exactly like W3 except with LoTR people. I'm in the multiplayer beta for it.

War of The Ring is based off the same engine for Command and Conquer Generals actually.

I dunno.... the demo was nothing special... the screenshots and previews make me want to give it a second chance..... good games can release bad demos I guess.

read the article in pc gamer about the 5 new LOTR games coming out

im a huge fan of lotr, but im not impressed with what theyve done


war of the ring is warcraft 3 as stated by others

middle earth online is made by turbine the people that brought you the awsome asherons call game and the same people that botched the highly anticipated piece asherons call 2, middle earth online you dont play as any of the heroes you just hear about there exploits

i could post about the other 3 games they have coming out but there all just as bad so im not gonna bother you can go find out for yourself

Tried the demo, it played like wc3, same layouts as wc3, same GUI as wc3...

Felt like i was playing a reskinned wc3... bah

REALLY crappy portraits aswell.
