Just wondered how people view themselves and how they rate their fighting skills.

I've never been accused of cheating, but today ripped through an enemy hacked base, I was the only green blip on the radar and I wasted 7 (all in 1 on 1 situations) Vanu. I used agile, cycler, BANK and 3 medkits and was finally taken out half way though hack by a thumper - So I consider myself quite skilled ona good day, funny how sometimes though I can get taken down a few times in a for wihtout getting a single kill in.

I have good days, and I have bad days, the good days are what's keeping em addicted heh :D

most people get pretty good in 2 weeks if their FPS fans.
good players who fully understand PS and have played for at least a month are pretty good. But im a natural at FPS games so its all about how motivated you are to get good and how much fun you have. Once i finally got planetside to install i played it for 18 hours straights with my friend

Today my squad gal dropped onto the ixtab tower on hossin and 2 reavers pretty much tore up my entire squad but i kicked on surge and pulled out my looted MCG in air. the second i land i mowed down 4 nc in a row without reloading then surged into the tower escaping the rocket spam and killing 2 more nc. omg the MCG OWNS, TR r cry baby noobs. well the ones who dont like the thing. try killing more than 2 NC/TR without reloading with a lasher. sry i went offtopic.

MCG does "owns" or "ownz" (another term overused) i have a similar story with 5 kills in one clip. In the woods near a base a NC reaver destroyed a TR ams , looking around i found a MCG and loaded it up and headed for the backdoor of the base were the TR were being pushed out from the inside , i got behind them as they retreated and i counted 5 kills with my MCG. :eek: :D

But it always isnt like that it can be very inaccurate, i need to make a TR charectar any reccomendations for server (i live on east coast , im already on Markov and Johari)

MCG IS powerful, when in the right hands, as are most weapons in the game. The other week I respawned to find all terminals were down, so I rummaged throguh my locker and picked up a jackhammer with a single clip of ammo, I managed to take out 4 enemies (2 agile 2 rexo) by running up to them and shooting at close range before being shot in the back by a lasher on my way back to the spawn room to see what else I had hidden my locker. Keep in mind I was spawn fresh with just standard armour on.

as a NC i agree JH needs little skill but that had to be cool, killing 4 people in standard armor. MCG is good if you crouch while fireing in not to long of a burst. I hate lasher noobs, reminds me of when i was sniping at a tower and a VS with a laser saw me sneaked around the side, i knew he was going to try and sneak around so i pulled out my guass and killed him. (Reinforced/Bolt Driver/Guass, BTW) He respawns and comes around again this time he gets some good hits in but i avoid most of the disco balls and kill him again. He starts to get pissed cause he says the lasher should have killed me. He respawns again at the tower and does the same thing but comeing from a diffrent direction i dodge the first few balls crouch let off a few rounds get back up and procede to strafe now that he got close i take 2 shots , turn on surge and kept dodgeing until i got him with one round left in the chamber. He gets pissed and says im cheating i ignore him and head back to base for repairs (only 2 health left) on my way down i get shot in the back by a..mind just went blank..gah scatter shotgun something like that just forgot the name. Anyone have other experiences where you have pissed off an enemy from an opposing empire?

Your McG use was impressive, I'm definately of the camp that states McG whiners are crybaby n00blars. I know that when I use the McG people die, and die often. It has the theoretically fastest ttk of all the HA, and I worry that with its cof being tightened even more it will unbalance infantry combat.

I find the MCG a totally situational weapon, as in at close range it will lose to JH (fair enough), it's useless at range because of the CoF but a medium range or when catching the enemy by surprise it comes off the winner!

I've recently dropped it though, it's only slightly better than cycler, and for 4 cert points ...

Once I managed to take out a NC AV MAX on a 1v1 situation in a tower with MCG + AP rounds, just a case of firing then retreating up a flight to heal and repair and repeat, Finally finished him on the roof in a final showdown heh, just rushed up and stuck the MCG into his chest and let rip, I won with 26HP 0AP left.

I think I am pretty good, I know a few guys from VS and TR on Markov who are all over me (in a non-sus kinda way), though. I do alot better with Lasher + Lancer combo it seems to me than the JH + SA weapon/Phoenix that I carry on NC depending upon situation. I really hope they leave the Lancer alone during the balance pass, I like it just the way it is.

My main character only has like 3600 kills, so I guess I would just consider myself an average player. I would probably have more if I didn't play infil so much.

Pretty good i suppose, but better on other FPS games where first shot matters more.

Hmm i'm a pretty good reaver pilot, and I'm as good as most on the ground.

I've been accused of cheating once, by a guy I simply straifed around while he was firing a JH, saying "no way you killed me first you cheating bastard".

I know I have a much higher kill score than most people at my level, but you can camp a spawn and rack up kills fast. I guess its the kills to death ratio, I can usually get 5-10 kills (unless I get too focused and forget to check my damage) when I'm in my reaver, and about 2-3 on ground, maybe more if I remember to repair my armor.

I like to think I'm a pretty good player. 600th kill last night, and none through cheesy (read: AMS plowing, CE, or spawn camping). However, I still can't seem to win the 1 on 1 battles unless I'm cloaked. I think I could use better FPS I'm only ever getting a best of 20, in big battles I prefer to snipe becasue I can stay out of the choppy screens where I die just b/c it probably looks like I'm walking to that guy with the cycler on the wall.

I'm good in a tank on the edges of battles but I can't fight as a grunt so save my life, just don't get good enough fps (I get 5-10 in medium sized battles or larger). Need an upgrade badly :lol:
