Looking for a new online game.

To put it bluntly, Planetside sucks. I need a new online game (RPG or FPS) to tide me over until WoW. What would you recommend?

Constantly updated free content. (they've pretty much said they are never going to sell an expansion)

24 hour GM support (it's so awesome to be able to /who GM, get a name, in game message them and get a response back in a few minuetes)

Variety:
100 and change difrent professions everything from bowyers to swashbucklers.

Craft skills and player driven economy

Free seven day trial. No box'd software to buy (this could be a good or a bad thing depending on your connection)

I dig planetside but I would like to second Dopplers opinion on ROE. I quit playing ROE when I started PS because I didnt see much point in haveing 2 subscriptions going at the same time when I only get like 2 or 3 hours of solid gaming a day, and I like Planetside :).

Why the hell would he ask this at a planetside fansite?

planetside has awesome potential and is a great short term game. But 2 months were all that was in it for me

Ok, lets see. So far we have;

Rubies of Eventide. No way in hell I can dl that and its got severely mixed reviews anyway.

Enemy Territory. Guess I could try that if its a small enough or segmented file.

SWG. Played it at a friends house. Boring as all hell, imo.

*EDIT* Desert Combat. Forgot about this one. I'll give it a look.

Guess it's the DAoC: ToA beta for me until something better pops up. Damn it all.

P.S. 1024, I only spent $20 on a game that was worth every penny for the 3 weeks I played it. So yeah, go ahead and insult my RL self for spending money on a game that was actually good for a short period of time. Loser.

well there are some other MMO FPS that are coming out, but i dont think they look better than PS to me. so if you just looking for a new game to play online, id say Call of Duty or Jedi Knight 3

Actually, new game called Fire Warrior coming out soon(all WH40k players should know what I'm talking about). It'll be for PS2 and PC, its a first person shooter with pretty good graphics and VERY cool guns, not to mention it's part of one of the best storylines ever created. Also, dont knock PS. You might find one of the fanatics standing over you when you wake up in the middle of the night, holding a knife soaked in the blood of a thousand noobs...

Army of Darkness is perhaps one of the most retarded movies EVER. This guy gets sent back in time to the middle ages to kill these demon things, he has a chain saw hand, and a shotgun! I defiently suggest you watch this movie! Take an IQ test before and after, you'll notice you will have dropped 5-10 points:D
