1.I like to get low and start to fire missles at enmeys
2.swoop down on enemy vehicles and if they have a gun then I'll also use my after burners to get out of there and turn around.
Please repeat number 2 if needed.

I use #2 if I fly a reaver, though I prefer the mosq.

i dont have a stratgy. it all depends on a couple of things.

1:the type of enmy.

2: where the enmy is located.

3:how much ammo i have.

4:how much armor i have left.

Steath is right. Al depends who your fighting mostly. What type of ammo you have left and how much of it.

Screw reaver or squito, i use lightning, get in, get out quickly while doing plenty of damage. thats the way to be.

I got so used to driving my mag on Johari that i found running ppl over with the reaver is also a great way to kill them. Saves ammo and is faster. Suicide crashing is also fun with low health...

I always liked the hugging the terrain approach. This lets you dodge missle locks and return fire with minimal mess. Specialy screws up the people who wont follow you into woods.

if i get a missle lock, i turn hard and hit the after burner, and if you look, on the map, youll see the missle follow you for a while, but it wont catch up.

if im up against a enemy air target, i circle strafe them, and i keep ahead of their fire while making sure all my shots hit, and most of the time, they wont lay too much damage on me, the trick is have the jump on them and stay ahead of their fire and their turning speed.

as for AA, like a burster max, i cant get away from that, the first shot lags my comp to hell, and when it catches up, im already dead.

reaver > Skeeter

Once I've found a ground target I like to swoop in real close while firing off rockets, then switch to external view if it's a vehicle cause I find it's easier to hit moving targets from this view, as long as you're fairly close to them. Actually, last night I was actually mowed by a magrider that I was chasing underneath the entrance to a tech plant, he had the LLU with him and I accidentally went to low cause I was afraid of hitting the overhang... next thing I know I'm sliding through the magmower and get crushed as he rammed my tail. Quite exciting. :D

What I do is I atually use correct grammar .

Other than that, what STEALTHKILLER said. Plus I use adv. targeting so i could see his/her health and then see if I got the ammo for it.

Or I grab a beer and start flyin.

Okay, I've flown reaver and sketter so let me stragithen this up. in air combat, skeeter will take out the reaver if the pilot is a very expirenced one. a reaver is great for taking out libs, gals, and infantry targets with its missles.

my perfered reaver loadout is:

grand total of 96:eek:   rockets.

I always go with a full payload of rockets too. My main tactic is to hang back behind hills, or down below tree level to determine where the main enemy concentrations are by watching the tracers. Then I make a run through the area at medium speed, trying to note any anti-air threats (ie: pheonix rockets zipping past me, or the infamous missile lock), as well as any vehicles. I'll usually try and get a few rockets into anything AA-related on this pass, but it is mostly recon and then I afterburn out of there and put an object between myself and the target area.

Then I like to wait a little bit, and fly along any ridges to find a new angle of approach. It's amazing how quickly those AA-maxes forget you were there, and how they don't seem to expect you to come back... I think it's the overconfidence that missile lock breeds. Anyways, the second, third, fourth and sometimes fifth runs are basically swoop in, drop to medium speed while unloading, then burn out before they can turn around and see you, and go hide. Wait a minute, then circle around and attack from a fresh angle. Always a fresh angle.

As long as the terrain is forgiving (lots of hills is all that really matters to a reaver pilot) I can usually unload all 96 rockets in about 4 payload passes and score a half dozen kills; unless I have lucked out and stumbled upon a juicy AMS, in which case I get a whole lot more kills out of the deal, although they are worth less XP in the end.

Use to have a pilot/infil char right after release that I played to br17. Found the skeeter more useful, as I could easily take out Reavers even though I was only ever an average skilled pilot. I only used the Reaver during tower attacks and base defence, otherwise it was mossie all the way.

Found I scored the most kills with the least damage by lining the target up then coming in under afterburn, just tapping it to conserve it, in a pass. The rockets would hit as I would zoom away over head.

Flying is very overrated to me. i have easily taken out reavers and squitos with my lightning. i know how to weave in and out of trees and bases.

I dont like reavers bc I cant aim for shit. I tried to hunt down a TR agile and he killed me with ap bullets from his cycler. the most fullfilling moment I ever had in that cockpit was kamikaze-ing into a couple TR guys while firing my missles. shut up.

I like to stay close because it assures me the best accuricy. But I do better in my mosq any day.
