I'm a bit confused by this strange language some people speak occasionally.

I ran across this little gem of wisdom, (ph34r teh bovine) it was originally posted by someone named "Hamma" or some such. The best I can make out of that "sentence" is

Fear the Cow

How wrong was I?

You are right. It's randomness topped with a sprinkle of leet speak. I believe that the cow bit came from an interview, when Hamma asked "Spoons or Kittens" (random thing that has come up alot in these forums) and the producer blurted out something along the lines of the world is going to end, the cows are coming to rape your dog and shit in your stockings, but he didnt actually say that, just more like fear the cows. RAH!

....uhh no, it didnt come from a dev, i remember once during one of hammas shows we harrased the dev with the questiond Kitten Bovines or spoons!?! or something like that. but Bovines came from a old thread, where we were fighting over spoons and kittens and something about cows came up, and militantbob said i like bovines, and so then eine said, yea, bovines are cool, and then Hamma said Ph34r t3h B0v1n3 or something, its in MilitantBobs sig.

where you guys get your stories i dunno

Yes I am I've been on these forums and I've been coming to this site, going on the IRC server, listening to all the AGN shoutcasts. And I don't know who this Hamma is.

Hamma, I have recently discovered is a PSU Admin sort of person I believe.
