Waht are the rest of your system specs? Realy get 1gig of 400 the 400 is backward compatable with the others, and it only cost about 10$ more

Its generally best to run your memory clock speed the same as your cpu fsb, if your amd. So if you have a XP its 133 = 266 DDR. If its Barton its 166 = 333 DDR. If you OC your cpu fsb though its even better then its 200 = 400 DDR which is where I like to sit. Most good DDR can clock up a decent bit, so even if you went and bought 1 gig of PC2100 if its good quality you can prolly crank it up to PC2700 speeds. You would prolly have to lower the memory timings and give it a little more juice.
So if your just using an xp, and not oc'ing you can't see much of any memory difference between pc2100 and pc2700 if your running sync.
