I dont know if this has been in another thread....

Maybe it could be used as a Flashbang u would go blind for say 5 seconds and make your controls backwords (witch will really fuck u up :)

heres a good example on when u use one

there are six guys in CC (enemy) u throw one in there and take them all out cause it would take 5 seconds to do so (with the so called "n00bhammer")

Tell me what u think of the idea

Since we're talking about just adding things to allready useful weapons ...

Why not give the supressor an alt fire that just explodes and kills everyone in the room? What about that?

Actually I like your idea of a flash grenade. They were always useful in Tribes2. Would be a handy tool for cloakers. It should blind anyone looking at it for 3-5 seconds, including friendlies and the guy who threw it if he doesn't look away fast enough.

I was thinking about something like this too. A downside I think is that it would give those griefing bastards another way to annoy people by spamming friendlies without fear of recieving grief points.

I think the jammer grenade doubling as a flashbang grenade is brilliant... only ever see them used on the field by infiltrators... and thats usually just to clear mines or rarely to disable darklight.

I like the idea... makes it worthwhile to other classes as well if properly balanced... :)

My point being that if you think the jammer isn't useful enough, you're not using it correctly.

And while I'm posting, let me say that just because a weapon doesn't do the most damage or do something very useful to you every day, that doesn't mean the weapon is useless or needs to be modified. The jammer is a niche weapon that does what it does well. It disbles implants, vehicle weapons, turrets, and destroys deployables. It does more than either plasma or fragment grenades do and it does it well.

As for ADDING a flashbang, that might be a better option. That way you don't have people blinding themselves or their team trying to detonate mines and turrets.

I heard they can take take aircraft if you hit them with it. I tried it on a reaver and it didnt work. they should put that in there somehow.

I know the jammer has its uses... it just has specialised uses... when you do your loadout im sure most would pick a more general piece of equipment to be used in more situations.

I think a good idea would for there to be just one grenade and have a mode for frag, plasma and jammer you could select between... that would work, wouldn't it?

what about the guy throwing it? whould he get blinded too as well as his team mates. I think it would also be funny because everyoe would just fire in random spots hoping to hit someone

I liked the way flashbangs worked in Red Faction 2. You vision was slightly blurred, and the x and y axis on your mouse was reversed. So move left you looked right, and up you looked down.

I love throwing jammers down on unsupecting CE's out laying minefields :)

Nothing more embarrasing than getting killed by your own mine.

IMO the jammer is the best nade in the game now. Once the plasma nades damage "stacks" properly then it might be a different story, but for the most part I agree with Bad Mojo.

If u get stunned by the grenade your screen should go blurrya nd ur aiming recticle should increase ALOT more than usual wen u shoot, and the severity of the effects would be judged by how close it is to the center of ur screen(staring right at it/periferal vision) and your distance from it.
