These are the things I've come up with, some while solo and others in squads, to pass the time while waiting for a hack to go through. They're not necissairly supposed to be funny, just fun and/or time consuming things to do while waiting for a hack.
If you have things to add, please do, I'm interested in what other people do while waiting for the hacks to finish :)
Things to do while solo:
Go to the CC and mash the W-A-S-D keys and press VVF over and over. Bonus points if you can get yourself TKed :)
This one is a little bit rude, but it can be fun, run around throwing jammer grenades and pressing VWC. Only do this when there is 0 enemies in the area, otherwise there could really be a cloaker somewhere and you just helped him :p
See how many times you can circle the courtyard in a vehicle with it's throttle set to 1.
Things to do while solo or in a group:
Walk around crouched, head tilted back as far as possible with your knife out and set to secondary mode. If you're in a squad, get a couple squad members to do this with you, and see how many people you can get to do it (We had 17 doing it once near the CC in a Bio Lab)
At an Interlink Facility, get in agile armor and try to get onto the very top (where the maxes like to stand). It is possible, but it can take a while. In a group, see who can make it up first.
Things to do in a group:
Organize a free-for-all deathmatch within your squad. Good boundaries are anywhere within a base, excluding the courtyard (because this is where the AMS used to respawn usually is). This is one of the most entertaining way to pass time, as you get to test your skills against the people you usually fight against.
Play a game of rabbit. This one is very similar to deathmatch. One player is the target, everyone attacks that player. When that player dies, his assassin becomes the target. This doesn't work as well as it should because of the radar (in DM the radar is a problem as well, but at least there it's FFA and not all versus one), but it can still be fun.
Play 500 with a thumper. This is another one that's really fun. Get a couple of people (3 works best in my expierence) as well as one guy with a thumper. Have the group get a good distance from the thumper. 45-85m works best, this way the projectile can be fired with a high arc, giving it a lot of hangtime. When the thumper is fired, the group tries to position itself under the projectile. Whoever takes the most damage wins the round. This obviously requires that somebody is a medic+engie. If nobody is, instead of playing to 500points, play until someone gets killed.
