or Why Aztec will be girlfriendless for at least until mid-College.

another insane intellectual thought I've been having. In the past week, I've noted the similarity of Homecoming Week to 1984's Hate Week, society pushing down women is reflected in AIM names, racism in the senior play during Homecoming Week, and now this.

So without further ado, The Nature of the Problem.

The problem: Why can't Aztec actually get a girlfriend? He knows some girls, and tried once.

The simple answer: I think.

The justification:

After a few years of experience, and please do not hesitate to correct me if I am wrong, most girls follow this pyramid when it comes to guys. Top is better, lower is worse.

-Jocks- sports players

-the "ghetto"- the cool kids

-the all-around performer- he isn't failing everything like the jock, and doesn't come to school waving his gold chains, but is rather a mix of several qualities. This category has various grades of people, from "ghetto jock with a 2.1" to "guitarist with a 3.2 who is on the rowing team". Most people and school stereotypes, such as the "teacher's pet" and the "wannabe ghetto" fall into this category.

-gamers- rather play the leaked beta of a game over LAN than go to a dance (unless they have a girl). Playing HALO once doesn't make you a gamer. People who take this up as a hobby are.

And finally, the thinkers.

The thinkers can be a combination of gamer, as I am. They can be on a sport team, but you'll always be a geek. I'm in rowing, but nobody considers me a jock. Which is good.

The thinkers do good in school, even better than gamers. However, their interests go beyond games into other areas. Basically, that wierd fuckup who knows the WW2 Luftwaffe markings, etc. (that fuckup is me).

I know several girls, but they don't really appeal to me. I hate techno, rap, and pop, so I don't go to the school dances. I don't like Goth chicks (please tell this to my friend, he's trying to hook me up).

I think, seriously, I'm quite a bit beyond some of my peers. For one, I cannot make a coherent sentence in Ebonics (what does "up the heezy" mean, anyway?). My vocabulary doesn't consist of the words "fuck" and "yo". This can lead to some people making entire sentences out of just those two words, like a hydrocarbon molecule.

But the problem goes even deeper. Assuming I do get a girlfriend, I won't "do anything" with her. By that I mean I won't have sex with her. Why? I think I'm Last of the Catholics.

A: I am a blue belt in Tae Kwon Do. Today, in the gym, in the area I was in, people were running around, slapping each other, playing, nothing bad. Someone slaps me.

The ninja in me activates, and I give him a left-leg sidekick. :doh:

Besides, I don't get harassed much. This is not a problem.

B: Everyone who plays guitar is a poser in my school. So many people do it it's generally assumed that anyone who does is copying. Besides, I tried bass guitar, didn't catch on.

I am like you man. I'm a 4.0+ student. I have a good amount of friends. I'm a gamer too. My problem was that I was short. Short and immature.

Well the past year I got a lot more mature, and I've grown considerably so that people no longer make ne references to my height. Problem is is wut u were saying.

I'm just in the middle somewhere. I'm not a jock, a ghetto hoodster or nething like that I'm just a smart kid whos otherwise pretty regular.

My other problem is that my reputation precedes me as being a fun person to hang around but not necessarily a ladies man. ha ha. And i'm like u too, i wont do nething with a girl newayz so i figure wtf do i need one till i get my license (about 6 months.) I am gonna skip homecoming this year to hang out with my buds who are also like me. I'll go junior year maybe, but for now I just wanna enjoy being a "kid." altho i share ur belief in that I am beyond many of them.

Dont talk about gigobytes and dot talk about E=MC squared all that. Dont wear shit that gives too much information (aka Record of stuff in your area) and dont wear anything beyond the colors that would be considered "boy colors". Wear shit from Pac Sun (if there is a such place in our area) and dont exceed into the rock/punk dude, wear stuff that fits your physical apearence. Be quiet, and show them that if you mess with them, you'll bring back the chinesse (aka, you gona defend yourself with Tae Kwon Do shit and your gona defend yourself good).

Dont pick fights, dont be bad, dont do stuff that you didn't do before. What i said may be different but those are litle changes, you already got a back history in your area, we are just pushing the limits one by one. #1, keep your ass shut. Dont talk what they talk, dont do what they do, dont be gangsta as they already are.

Oh and do go to dances. I'm not much of a rap guy either, but if you stay home, it just means more negitive stuff on the checklist.

Now, I will say this as many times as F'ing possible, 1-800-LOVE-191, 10-12 pacific time. Just say you are pretty much geek and you want to be turned around, and tell them your age too, cause you dont want to be taught the way hamma was taught. REALLY, call, the youngest person to call is like 11, so if your 11 and a half, it means jack nothing.

Anyways, I never did jackshit work, did fair on tests, but talked to my friends about blackholes and space and music (things im interested in)

So even though i didnt get great grades (never did any homework) I still "thought". Plus i was in pretty hard classes.

And i think, i'm like the 10th smartest dude in teh skool, but i keep my ass shut (and my mouth) and my size puts me in the pwning positions (meaning I'm really tall, really low voice, really stong, and really need to shave). And I ride Dirtbikes, paintball, both at the same time, and BMX. And i logwork (for comunitie service and for pay), and I can drive better than everyone :rolleyes: . I do stuff.

Well, it seems to be all athletics. Get in every team you can find and limit your vocabulary to 2 syllable words. It also helps to wear a puzzled expression, keep your mouth open at all times, and fail every class.

Alright. The first thing you need is confidence. This is why girls go for the ghettos and the jocks. It has nothing to do with the things they do. Girls don't like assholes any more than you do. Girls like confidence. Stand up straight, make eye contact and get your hands out of your pockets. Don't dress sloppily. Wear clothes that are clean and without holes, don't worry about following any certain crowd, you don't have to go to Pac Sun or the Gap. If you seem self confident a girl won't care, believe me.

Next, all male school huh? This is where things get difficult then. School is probably the best place to meet girls. Well, until you can go to the bars anyway. This means you have to go to things like parties, dances, the mall and other places girls frequent. Don't be afraid to talk to them. It's not like you are asking them out, yet. DON'T hit on her and don't compliment her yet. Being complimented by a stranger is creepy. Best way I've found is to ask questions, get her to talk about herself. Sooner or later you'll find something in common or come up with a personal anecdote you can relate and you'll get a conversation going. If things go well, ask her for her phone number, or even a messenger screen name. Most girls are online now and they are usually more willing to give that out then their phone numbers. I've picked up a LOT of girls that way. Oh yeah, if it goes well at the girl but she's not her type. Stay in touch anyway. Girls have friends. She might know someone that's more your speed.
Lastly. Things change a LOT after you graduate. All the social barriers come down. The cliques dissolve and nobody really cares anymore. The ass that used to make fun of you in the hallway will invite you to parties and drop by just to say hello. The girls that seemed out of your league in high school will hit on you at parties.
You only really need to remember 2 things.
1. Be self confident
2. Be social

Actually I've yet to find a girl that this doesn't work with. I mean, this isn't foolproof. A prep will usually still turn down a gamer or a nerd. This is especially true in high school. A lack of confidence however, is the biggest reason ANY girl will turn you down. If you have confidence, the battle is already half won. All you have to do is convince her that you are the guy for her, and that in itself a lot easier if you are confident. You want proof of the power of confidence?
Here is a TRUE example, believe it or not.

My friend Mike and I go to the mall. Hang out at the coffee shops and sit on the benches.
Nothing out of the ordinary happens.

Go back the next day, I am wearing my kilt and my friend Mike wears this really gaudy costume necklace with lots of fake diamonds in it. You might ask what this has to do with anything. Well, it takes guts to wear this stuff in public plus it gives anybody coming up to you something to talk about.
Mike gets 5 phone numbers and a girl offers to buy him lunch. He later goes on to have sex with 3 more of the girls.
I get 2 phone numbers myself and talk to several other girls. I don't get laid (at least not right away. Mike was looking for sex, I was looking for a gf)

My school doesnt offer any other language then Spanish. So I've taken it upon myself to learn the languages I want through music.
