I have all three systems. I swear by my PS2. Cube is for those nonviolent types who want to jump up and down stomping mushroom men. X-Box is for you Bill Gates Nazi loving **** who enjoy having a big box in your room. PS2 is for gamers who want a wide selection of games. You can even play old PS games on the PS2 and when the PSX comes out it's also backwards compatible.

I prefer the comp over all. Vastly superior to those consoles. Besides.. console games don't have access to porn. :drool:

I have all three main consoles and a pc. PC > PS2 > GC > XBOX

I feel this way because of the games that are on each, not the look or control of the console.

And i wont argue, because the last thing id want to be is a stupid fanboy.

xbox wins. Technological superiority with a selection of games that may not be as bloated as PS2's, but instead focus on quality. Throw in the clearly superior support for broadband internet play and you'd have to be misguided, retarded or really unlucky to buy anything else.

Comparing PCs to consoles is a common mistake that I'd expect people to have figured out already. Are they suggesting that people who own good PCs don't buy consoles? Absurd. I own 2 killer PCs and wouldn't be happy without my console (sweet, sweet xbox).

I've seen so many xbox vs. PS2 debates that it's easy to boil down the typical responses... "Wait until you see the PS3!" "PS2 has more games!" "Bill Gates is a nazi! How could you dare support Microsoft??". It's kinda funny actually.

Glad I don't see too many Dell vs. Alienware fanboy fights.

X-Box can actually blue screen of death you and therefore loses. PS2 works not only with the much wider selection of games that are out for it but is backwards compatible which considering the move to bring out the next gen consoles faster and faster is a very important factor.

That and whoever designed the X-Box controller has a fetish with bloated whales. "But you can buy better controllers!!!". Yeah, and I shouldn't have to.

xbox here, though i will admit ps2 has some good games. I love my xbox, keeps me sane at my moms house. There are highs and lows of both systems.

Not to mention you can get a small controller with the xbox, so you dont even need to buy a small one(if you only want on that is). My xbox came with the small controller.

I like the Xbox the least, for one reason.

Microsoft doesn't produce any quality games; if they see something they want, they throw money at it until its theirs. Like they did with Bungie and Halo.

Kakuto Chojin, Blinx the time sweeper, Nightcaster 1 & 2, and a bunch of other shit games is all Microsoft ever made.

Rallisport Challenge is a Microsoft Game Studios title, but you know what? It was made by DICE(ala BF1942 and Midtown Madness 3), not in-house. Neither was Project Gotham Racing.

The only thing M$ knows what to do is throw money at things that they want until the creators can no longer resist the urge to become rich(who wouldn't?). M$ has little game talent of their own under their payroll.

??? Microsoft makes like no games. They just pay developers to make games to use their system, then if the Devs make money on the game they pay them a royalty on the profits. Gamecube has a few kick ass games for it. THere are a lot of mediocre games as well, but the same holds true for PS2 and X-Box so /shrug

I own a PS2 and a Gamecube also.
I haven't turned on my PS2 since February. It is by far the biggest and most expensive paperweight I have ever seen.
The only thing it has going for it is it's library of PS1 games and I already had a PS1. They could've done without this whole PS2 thing. The system is substandard in every way and the vast majority of it's "huge library of games" blow harder than a hurricane. I don't even OWN any PS2 games anymore because I traded them all in for X-box and Gamecube games. Devil May Cry? Don't make me laugh, looked pretty but got old real quick. Traded it and it's sorry sequel for Phantom Crash, a substandard X-box Mech game which beats them both in style and replay value.
RPGs? Hell, Gameboy beats the PS2 with a lead pipe in that department. Don't anybody talk to me about Final Fantasy. I've hated everything past #7. Fighters? X-box has most of the good ones available to PS2 and does them better.
And Lastly, online. X-box all you have do is update some software, set up an account and it goes. With the PS2 oh...you have to buy upgrades.... I remember the last system with upgrades I saw. Yeah, Sega. They don't do consoles anymore.
The thing that pisses me off to no end is PS2's launch. What a wonderful piece of shit that was. A multi-billion dollar company can't manage to squeeze out enough new systems to meet demand even though Sega and Nintendo have been doing it for years and even Microsoft, who has never done this before managed it. Yeah I know what you are saying. Sony did it on purpose. Yeah, guess what. Any company that does that doesn't give a shit about you or what you want. They want to make as much money as they can and hope they make you suffer in the process. Microsoft aspires to be as evil as Sony one day.

Anybody ever get this? Lets play PS2 Oh wait, you went to the bathroom while it was loading and it locked up again. Looks like you'll have to reset. Oh no, it can't read the disk. Try cleaning it. Oh that didn't work either. Try a diferent game. Oh wait, that ones is dirty too, Try cleaning the system. Okay, it says the cleaning disk is dirty, looks like we'll have to play the X-box until it' gets it's thumb out of it's ass, again.
I'll tell you what the PS2 DOES have going for it. Sports games. PS2 does sports games well and has lots of them. Me, I'm going to go outside and actually PLAY football, you can stay here and manage your fantasy team in front of the TV for another 12 hours straight. If you are one of those guys who actually puts two cpu teams and watches them play each other, I have a tip for you. Go out and sell the PS2 and all your games, buy yourself a gun and a box of bullets and play Russian Roulette for a while. Preferably with an automatic.
