They are here in the bay (San Fransisco Bay Area), and they been practicing since Tuesday when I think they came in from Florida. On Saterday the ships will come in (2 or 3 Destroyers, a ACC, and a hovercraft (thats what they are called right, the things with big propellers on the raft thing). The BA fly everywhere though, like under the Golden Gate Bridge, right over Peir 39. And all their stunts are awsome, I mean they fly inches apart and go flying at each other playing chicken and barely missing each oher by inches. They are the best.

I might go this weekend and watch (because I'm in the mountains), if I do I'll show yall some pictures.

And if you dont know what the hell I'm talking about, they are a bunch of jocks flyin blue Hornets in teh military.

I wouldn't.

1. They don't carry weapons
2. They don't go to combat

2 simple reasons why you shouldn't ph34r them :)

Don't worry about it. THey actually travel the country doing performances 9 out of 12 months. They also travel witha huge crew. They also have a C-130 Hercules called "Fat Albert" that does a short J.A.T.O. (Jet Assisted Takeoff) demonstration with JATO Rockets where it lights up about a dozen rockets on the rear of the plane, goes full tilt, and then levels out. Lemme find some pics.....

Ouch I already feel weird being in a roller coster, I can't imagine how I would feel getting out of one of those puppies :O_O:.

I think I'll stick to training to be in the special ops/armored division... :O_O:

Thunderbirds are better :) I saw the BAs a few months ago and last year the TBs. I like the TBs better.

the BLue angels are the shit, though they come down here at least once a year, they fly the most manuverable plane in the world, well excluding the SU27. and have a whole bunch of other craft that come with them. and one of these days id love to see the Thunder Birds, and their f16s.

and if you dont consider them elite, just remember the stunts they do, and the planning required. flying 6 feet from each other is hard

The Blue Angels come to my hometown for the air show every year. They practice for a week before the show and it drives us all nuts. The do a lot of runs up and down the Mississippi.
What amused me this year is how impressed the Blue Angels were with the barnstormers. They normally don't allow them because barnstorming is so dangerous but they did it a couple times this year. The Angels thought the barnstormers were crazy.

I wouldn't.

1. They don't carry weapons

Half right, half wrong (I think).

1. The planes dont go into battles
2. The pilots do.

So you wont know wether to shit your pants if its them or not, i would just for the hell of it cause you'd be dead either way. :D

And teh hercules is awsome, it does some really low flybys over the warf and drops crates (i think crates) into the bay.
Though I never saw it with the rockets (besides that pic)

What I wana see is the BA flying formation aorund the Hecules, that be sweet.

Touche' bugger. You are correct. The pilots are drafted from a group of Naval Combat Aviators. But the tactics/formations you see are not used in combat :)
