OMG, I just thought of something that annoys the beezjesus out of me, and commonly seen In Games.
SUICIDE.

Players suicide to get to a SPAWN point quicker. Example, JoeShmoe has a jeep that gets blown up. JoeShmoe SUICIDES himself so he doesnt have to walk back to his base. Ive seen this in Battlefield1942, players suiced to get to the base with the action, to get a vehicle before a runner, ect. I KNOW players have a spawn timer for vehicles, but Players still kill themselves to save the time of a walk.

I hope, and I havent HEARD ANYTHING about Suicide. Rouge13ps????????, anydev?????, What are the consequences for SUICIDE? I hope, A suicide counts for the Grief system, so I wont see players killing themselves all the time, or a player who kills himself cause he doesnt want to give you a FRAG after you earned it.

Rouge? Anydev for that matter?

There is no /suicide command in the shipped version of the game.
Players can still kill themselves with grenades or something if they really desire to "tport home", but there is no easy /suicide command for folks to use as a macro and rob others of their kill stat.

If players are stuck on geometry, there is a /stuck command that resolves the issue. Details on the /stuck command are still a bit in flux, but suffice it to say that it can't be used as a quick /suicide button.

DAoC has a Stuck command to use when you are stuck on the geometry with no way to get out...

What it ends up doing is forcing you to quit the game and relogs you in at your last known good/safe position... usually just a few steps away.

If this is the way that PS is going to implement it, I can hardly see it as a way to 'Port home or avoid a death.

I never had any complaints about the suicide key in T2. Never saw anybody rob my kill with it and whatnot so i don't really see the problem of having one or not. :)

this is off subject, but you guys remember Bushido Blade? You could just surrender and you your guy would kneel down and the other guy would lop off you dome. That was cool.

I did read the post but I assumed "resolving the issue" meant killing yourself. How exactly is your issue "resolved"?

That would be resolving the issue of being stuck in something that you would have to suicide to get out of.

There really isn't an issue with suicide, since it's not necessary, it's only something people want. Sucks when people would suicide as they're about to die, i'm sure it would happen.

Back in the day the devs did mention something about resolving the issue of being in the middle of nowhere with no vehicle, so they will probably still address that issue without having a suicide command.

I think having no /suicide command is a good call on the PS devs part.
