I just went through the new screenshots section, and managed to suck out some info:


Armor ratings:

standard: 25 pts

Agile exo: 50

Reinforced exo: 100

VS MAX: 650 or 850 (hard to read).


Inventory space (not much info, but here's what I got)

Standard armor: 6x9
Agile armor: 9x9
Ammo box: 3x3 (all ammo... they just hold different amounts of stuff. Rocket boxes for the punisher hold 6 rounds, for example, bullets/energy is 50 to a box)
med tool: 3x3
Med tool reload: 2x6
Pistol: 3x3
grenade: 2x2
Punisher: 3x6
Lasher: 3x9
Supressor: 3x6

I'm guessing most rifles are either 3x6 or 3x9.


Clip sizes:

Lasher: 50 energy... may use more than 1 energy per shot
Beamer clip: 16, ditto on the energy use
Repeater clip: 12
Punisher: 30
Quasar builtin (VS anti-inf MAX): 40
Harrasser 12mm: 250
Mosquito 12mm: 250
Basalisk (dual chaingun): 100 That won't last long.


Weapon damage:

Mini-chaingun: 4 per round... this was against a vehicle, so these could have been anti-personnel rounds. I HOPE they were.

Reaver vs Galaxy: 50 (rocket damage, or chaingun?)

Mosquito: 10 per round, against another vehicle. That's a 12mm chaingun, so it's quite likely that all similar weapons do the same damage.

Noteworthy things that jump out here:

650 armor for a VS MAX?! :eek: Good luck getting through that. And that's the lightest MAX. Hoo boy.

Inventory is at a fairly high resolution. Getting objects that are in multiples of 3x3 will allow you to not waste any space.

Hamma someone. On the other team no less.
There was at least one knife kill in those shots.
At least one person got flattened by a harrasser.


Did I miss anything?

Good hjob. I'm pretty sure the damage was from the Reaver's rockets.

Me too, but because there is SOME question (90 / 10 split I'd say), I left it open. "Truth in advertising" and all that.


And speaking of "truth in advertising", I'd say its entirely possible these number will change, perhaps even ALL of them before the public release. They should still at least be in the right ballpark, but ya never know.

BTW, there are a couple other damage amounts listed in those screen shots, but it's not clear where they came from.

All info is subject to change, but that gives you a rough idea how how things will work.

Yeah... it tells me that dumping a full clip from an assault rifle into a MAX's face is just going to piss the wearer off. Switching to anti-armor ammo might make a difference, but then again, maybe not.

I think it'd be nice if the plasma grenades stuck to the wearer like in halo. It would be easier to take out maxes... Chuck 4 on one while strafing around him and run.

I'd really like to know what the average damage per bullet from an assault rifle is. All of them if possible, i'd also like to see the pulsar from the first person perspective, and the gauss from the first person perspective.

that guassrifle with that enhanced sight implant that gives you zoom would be a wicked sniper rifle.

Lancer will probably have too large of a cone even when crouched to be used as a sniper weapon.

If the Lancer has a large cone of fire, it will be useless against vehicles which will typically be a long distance from the shooter. Granted they are larger, but I don't want to have to get within 20 feet of a Mosquito to kill it...afterall it flies. I don't want to get within 20 feet of any enemy vehicle! As such, I would expect that when crouched, and perhaps only then, the Lancer would have a pretty tight cone. But it may not be very effective against personnel (they might have some fiction for that to prevent it from being used against personnel).

I think it would be like any other anti-vehicular weapons. Like in BF1942, the rockets do nothing to infantry:

1.) The projectile moves so slowly its almost impossible to hit a fast moving target(I'd guess that the Lancer's laser would travel slowly?).

2.) The explosion upon contact is directed vertically, not horizontally, making it hard for the explosion to actually damage anything that it doesn't directly hit.

Well... there's my two cents...

You can kill inf. with the BF1942 AT guns. It just needs more accuracy. Also, AA guns are great against tanks..

Hehe I remember the remote det packs in Red Faction.. You threw them onto ppl and they would run away screming, then you slowly push the button... :p
