Sci Fi is "re-imagining" Galactica. They have FOOKED IT ALL UP. DO NOT WATCH THIS BASTARDIZATION! I beseech you all, to go to www.cylon.org and join in the discussion.

This new BSG is not in fact, BattleStar Galactica.

Here are some examples of why this is no longer BSG, but rather a sad, disgusting, PEICE OF SH!T

1. Starbuck, remember him? He now wears a skirt.

2. Boomer, remmeber him? He also wears a skirt, doesn't even fly Vipers, and is a Cylon Infilitrator.

3. Six of Nine, remember her sister from Star Trek? Well Six is now a Sex machine Cylon that bangs Baltor.

4. Did I mention, the Cylons? No longer will they be the cool silver and black robots made by aliens, rather they are now made by man, and find religion to wipe out man... go figure.

5. This version, unlike The Orginal Series, is R Rated, your kids, don't let em watch it if they are under 15. That is of course, if the thought of your child watching Six sitck a finger probe into a babies brain killin it bothers you, and if the thought of your kid watching a red glowing spine B Actress giving hand jobs cause you to squirm, don't let them watch it.

F YOU SCI FI YOU CAN KISS MY SKDJAKSDJ REAR!

I dunno. It looks pretty good, I never really liked the original anyway. And the new Cylons look a lot more... functional then the big tin can robots from the first one.

I know I know, you poor fools will eat anything spoon fed to you as long as it wears a skirt. I hope this mini flops, and Ronald D. Moore is shot.

A hot good new show fine, a sleezy lame remake o a classic, hell no.

Well, for what it's worth, I never liked the original, granted that I only saw the first episode, maybe three times. I actually didn't know they swapped all the main characters to females, but the female Cylon does appear to be a 7 or 9 ripoff.

Still looks good though.

7 or 9? die plz, k thx.

god, you know, back in the sixth grade, back when i first started getting alot of these headakes i get now, every week day Scifi would show a series, well, not a entire series, but like a marathon, and my favoret day was when they showed Space,: Above and Beyond, that show owned, but my second favoret day you ask? was BattleStar Galactica day, i mean, remember that episode where star buck got shot down and a cylon trooper was with him and they were chilling shooting the shit? yea, i do, and now, they kill it.

Edit: or was it Apollo? god it was so long ago, but all i remember was that it was like the 1st episode of the last season

Vic. Calm down for a minute and look at it from a different perspective.

They probably couldn't reshoot the whole series over again because it would infringe on copyright laws and other legal things that the Sci-Fi Channel couldn't possibly devote time or money too. I'm eagerly awaiting this version of BattleStar Galactica. I believe that you should look at things from every angle before judging it. Reactionists like you look at the book cover, and not read the entire book. The fact that it's on TV tells me that people can definitely make up their minds for, essentially, free. The director, even in the beginning, warned us that this wouldn't be what we grew up on. So don't say that this snuck up on you, because it didn't.

Battelstar Galactica makes the original Star Trek look like a masterpiece of acting, directing and special effects

I hate to admit it, but he's right. The coolest thing they had in that show was the spinning command podium on the main ship.

The show was from the late 70's, it was never ment to be a series, thus when it was rushed into series, it took a hit, there was some, yes BAD episodes, but there were some REALLY good ones too.

There is a decent sized, semi-to active fan base out there for the show, and 90% of them are really pissed about this shitting that Sci-Fi is giving us.

pfft, i thought Star Trek had some good acting i mean, rememeber the episode where spoke, Bones, Kirk, and a few away members beamed down on that planet, where there was a starbase, and aparantly they all died to some madening desiese, and like, the hot sexy lady was like, GOD CAPTAIN KIRK! ALL I WANTED WAS FOR YOU TO LOOK AT MY LEGS! and then later in the episode she died? OMFG! that was the best acting ever!

I don't know what SF has lost that modern TV producers feel they need to make up for with more sex, but whatever it was made Star Trek, BSG, etc. the great shows they were. As for sexual imagery, that's what the Internet is for, for crying out loud. Lexx is the only show that had gratuitous sexuality while staying true to the roots of SF (though some of you may have hated it, which I can understand, because I hated it early on, then grew to like it).

Scott Bakula can suck a cactus for all I care, he's a chump and a chode and so is Capt. Janeway. DS9's plot was trite garbage and Enterprise is fecal granola. The new BSG should have been aborted in the first trimester and will probably be cancelled soon.

It's funny to remember how George Lucas (piece of shit) tried to sue the original BSG out of existence, claiming it was a ripoff of Star Wars. If that bastard had won, a great show would have been stolen from us. He'll be outed as a gungan diaper fetishist, I'll wager. SWG is a tribute to his greed.

i hear ya for the most partbut i have a question about lexx, at the end of what i guess was the second season, they had a new baby lexx, kai was dead, and zev and stan were on their way, it never said series fanaly, it said season, so my question is, where is my season 3 of Lexx? an also, there were two different Zevs right? the season one was a blonde, and season 2 was the one on that picture.

Waaa? They actually have handjobs innit?

Anyway I never liked the original BSG, I thought it was bad...only thing I liked about it where the Viper fighters, they rocked, but the helmets they wore while piloting them really sucked, especially the christmas lighting thing inside them....

i like movies with aliens that dont look like humans, like in the movie alien, or predator, or alien vs predator, where the humans are just thrown in the middle of it.

Yeah, but you're forgetting one important thing. The Star Wars movies (the original 3) were not only well written with good acting/directing (aside from Mark Hamil and even he wasn't that bad) and perhaps the most important factor had ground breaking special effects in it. It was one of the first movies ever to actually be able to put an audience in the future (or the distant past I guess) by creating a believable illusion. By todays standards they're nothing special, but at the time it was such a large leap forward that it was astounding. Couple that with a spiffy story, Carrie Fisher in skimpy clothing and good actors (Harrison Ford anyone?) and you see why Star Wars has one of the largest fan bases of any Sci-fi movie/show ever.

Battlestar Galactica? Not so much. It's got a devoted cult following much like kung-fu movies had before martial arts really became mainstream. Frankly I've seen about a dozen episodes od Battlestar Galactica and have never found anything at all to like about the show :(
