View Full Version : Who needs OSes?

Last night (October 12th), Ceryshen at Tootega, the NC zerg had taken most of the TR bases, and we were pushed back to Akna once we lost Tootega to the zerg.
Right after they captured Tootega (was a MASSIVE zerg), we figured, "Hell, the zerg has to get vehicles at some point".
Being the terminal at Akna was bugged, me (Rightwing), TiTaNiUmTiTaN, and HappylilElf made our way to Anguta, where we got a Liberator.
Happy being the pilot, me being the bomber, and Gromel being the tail gunner, so after Happy loaded his veh favorite full of bombs, we set out at the ceiling for the Tootega vehicle term.
I was astounded at the targets, I could see a sea of red through the fog at the vehicle term, I dropped bomb after bomb and the kills kept scrolling.
I got 127 kills just Liberating the CY and vehicle terminal, over and over.
Who needs OSes?

Nice stuff. Further proof that if with a good pilot, Liberators are the most powerful outdoors weapon in the game.

And the worst part of it? They actually allowed us multiple passes before 3 reavers and a pair of Mossys took us down. Why in the name of god you would keep spawning and running outside to stand on the already destoryed V-pad where a Lib has killed you three times already, I'll never know.

The os is ment to be the most desturctive thing in the game. I mean all you have to know is the location of the object and be cr 4-5. It can destroy gal in one blast. How many lib bombs would it take to do that. The only down fall is that it has a reload time of 3 hours and uses outfit points. Anyway, probs to you rightwing for that awsome run.
*you thought i wasn't going to congragulate[SP] didn't you he he he  *

A lib can destroy a Galaxy in one run with anti-vehicle ordinance. Just hover over it, drop 10 bombs, and its done.

Okay, I didn't know that, but still, my point is the OS is a wepon that if used properly, can destroy an entire zerg.

No it can't. If you're being hit by a full on zerg I can think of no way that an OS will flat out stop them. OSs are great for killing AMSs and getting a lot of kills in one shot on a crowded v-pad. That's about it.
Honestly, I can't think of anything in the game that can stop a full on zerg by itself.

Okay, okay maybe i should rephrase what I said. If used proberly it can kill about half of a zerg if there near the same place outside of a base. I need to rember to reread what i write to make sure i know what im saying.*my teachers SUCK*

Really quick, but OS's dont use outfit points, to the absolute best of my knowledge. It was just a rumour.

Not a rumor. Something that was supposed to be implemented before the game even went live and just never was.
